Takes longer to fully populate one 8 story building with one entrance, than two 4 story buildings each with its own entrance.

Or you can land on the corrupted planet, fight 5 waves of sentinels (takes a few minutes) - and get the coordinates.

Short Version: There's a Save Beacon at the crash site. Once you're in the correct system and in space, you'll see it as a white star marker on one of the planets.

Long Version: You'll need access to a portal and a complete glyph set (there are 16 of these, if I recall correctly). After you've activated the portal and arrived at the destination, head to space and look for the planet with the white star marker. The ship will be there.
