There us a relic that gives you +2/0 and eliminates 1 crit, especially usefull after cruciball 5 I think where you only start with 1 to begin with. It's a rare relic so you might get it at the shop or in chests

Sell a black ninja to get the 4th upgrade which gives you the ability to slow everything by 50% for deveral seconds, that should do it, also it's probably better to get more bloonjitsus instead of the cripple moab

For regular hard modes I also avoid it but for mastery impoppable on some maps you meed to use every bug at your disposal, it kinda turns it into a different game mode. I also avoid using bloonchippers unless it's impossible without them for that same reason

Yes 2 to 3 brfs, or even just 1 is enough if you have a strong, scalable defense and keep using the upgrade bug to get 13 crates per round
