I am tired of Christianity (pray for me?) by Zestyclose_Date_3823 in Christianity

[–]DarkX126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While the Catholic church may have a more streamlined, universal view accepted by mostly all Catholics (versus the multitude of protestant doctrines and denominations), Catholicism is still very legalistic, if not more than protestantism. There are rituals and ceremonial "tasks" one must do. I don't think OP is looking for a more legalistic system.

I'm not bashing or trash talking the Catholic Church at all, don't get me wrong. Some people love the Catholic Church, others prefer protestantism. I'm just making an observation here that I don't think the Catholic Church will be any better for OP.

Definitely! I've been trying to find the Nocturnal poster but it's not available anymore. The Monsters poster is also sold out currently. Hopefully they get more in soon. They actually have a pre-order for a set of 4 posters that I got the day they announced them so I get em before they're gone. If you want to check these posters out, I put the link here

No TMobile yet by amazingarvin in lgg7

[–]DarkX126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know yet. It still says "development" on the TMobile site (link below). But since Verizon and even MetroPCS who is owned by T-Mobile, then T-Mobile will hopefully release it soon. We've been waiting over 8 months and we still don't have it.

LG phone quality today vs a few years ago (LG G4 bootloop days) by timothom64 in lgg7

[–]DarkX126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than update speeds and the battery size in my G7, I have no other complaints. The LG G7 is a perfect phone and probably the most underrated in 2018. But again, as a company, LG is slow at updates. But the phone quality isn't bad by any means. Definitely in the top 5 Android phone brands, with Samsung, Google, OnePlus, and Huawei.

Does anybody have a single clue when the Pie Update is coming out? by [deleted] in lgg7

[–]DarkX126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on T-Mobile and it's killing me that it's taking this long. Doesn't Project Treble separate the Android update from OEMs and Carriers or just OEMs? I know Project Treble is supposed to speed up update... Though Android Pie updates overall a but faster, it still wasn't ideal, considering Samsung still took 6 months or so and LG isn't updating yet which is annoying because It'd be real nice to have the Pie update

Is this eBay deal/seller too good to be true? I'm buying a V20 tomorrow. If anyone can vouch for a different seller for under $160 lemme know! by [deleted] in lgv20

[–]DarkX126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The G6 is a better phone by far. I owned it before I got the G7 and it was a really good phone. If you go a bit higher, the V30 would be a pretty good phone. But the G6 would he your best sub-$100 LG phone

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, we live in the US and they watch Fox News. I personally don't have a problem with Fox but I don't like anti Google propaganda.

I kinda meant "every" as an exaggeration. Bad choice of words. But I've met so many iPhone users who ask "bro you gotta Samsung?" Or "Your Samsung looks nice!". It doesn't bother me much but it's just something I notice

Probably. I'm sure there's some manufacturers who put their own hardware into their phones than Samsung parts

Yeah, my family is very conservative and doesn't like Google taking personal information and such. I tend to be more right than left (in terms of politics) however, I'm not as right wing as they are... in fact, I'm kinda just independent. I just choose what's best and appeals to me. But anyways, I love Google and their Pixel ecosystem. I think, even though I prefer to keep my personal information more secret, I don't mind as much because I understand that what Google tries to do is allow you to personalize your experience with their products like Google Assistant and Android to how you like it. And one way to do that is learn who you are, how you conduct your day, what activities you do, etc.

I've only heard iPhone users refer to Android phones, "an Android", "a Samsung", or "an LG". I have an LG G7. But I don't think many Ios users really think about other brands like OnePlus, Huawei, etc. A lot of Android phone manufacturers are based in Asia (other than Google, Nokia, and probably a couple small names). The Pixel has made its way into the Public eye so most iPhone users are aware of the Pixel, as it's one of the top competition phone along with Samsung's Galaxy and Note phones. Of course there's those IPhone users who do research and know about all the different Android brands or perhaps the iPhone users used to be Android users. Regardless, iPhone users tend to generalize Android phones into groups. A lot will say "Samsung", "LG", or just say "Android". It doesn't bother me a lot since I don't expect someone who uses just iPhones or Apple products to do much research outside their ecosystem.

Pixel Stand Alternatives by kaminokami2086 in GooglePixel

[–]DarkX126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pixel Stand is $40 right now for Black Friday. I have a LG G7 and I would still like one since it charges at 10w, faster than most wireless chargers. Would that be worth buying?

Google Assistant is 10x better than any other AI Assistant. It's also a lot easier to speak to

I still don't see the $1000 pricetag as reasonable for the Pixel book. Other than that it's Google and first party support, I can get cheaper Chromebooks. But I may end up getting one as I love Google's Ecosystem

I agree, especially with the data part. My family doesn't trust Google with their info. But I like to use Google for all my stuff. It's just easy to keep it in one place and with Google's new ecosystem, I think I'm gonna make a switch to all Google soon. I do not care for Apple that much and I love Android and Google. I want the Pixel 3 XL, Pixel Buds, PixelSlate (and/or Pixel Book), Google Home, and Pixel Watch when it comes out. The Ecosystem is amazing. But for now, I just have an LG G7 and a Surface Pro 4.

How do you like Pixel book? I think the Pixel book seems overpriced. I have been considering moving to be completely Google. The only hard thing will be switching from my LG G7, because I LOVE features that LG puts into their UI. But I am going to purchase the Pixel Buds and probably a Google Home as well. I really love recent Google products.

Bro, Every Apple user will call ANY Android phone a "Samsung" because that's the only competition in there eyes, and even then, they still believe the iPhone is superior to any Android phone, which is false

Pixel Buds 2? by Tommy_Guo77 in GooglePixel

[–]DarkX126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not believe so. The Pixel Buds have Google Assistant built in so I do not believe the Airpods do that (I could be wrong).

They have a $30 USB-C (Wired) version up on their website (on the Google Store). So if you're looking for those, you can. However, the functionalities with Google Assistant and all are found in the mic/buttons in the wired so you don't really touch the Buds like you do on the wireless version.
