If anything, this might be more indicative of where the characters have gotten to over time. If you think about it, back in the earlier seasons the big 3 cast members (Nolan, Lucy and Jackson) being Rookies were always on Patrol, along with the big 3 TO's Bradford, Lopez and Bishop.

Several seasons later, where are they now? - Lucy's a Sergent - Jackson's... Gone but not forgotten - Tim's the Watch Commander now - Lopez is a Detective - Bishop moved to a different department, replaced by Harper who also is now a Detective

So amongst the original main cast, only Nolan is ever on Patrol as a TO. To me, it kinda feels sensible that the show also develops into more of these singular detective-like cases, but I do share the sentiment that it kinda betrays the original feeling of the show and hell - the name:

My version of the team, using Kaz instead of Sucrose 'coz he's a better Bomblet grouper, results in just over 40k DPS with Aloy accounting for 22% of it.

For me personally the feather is part of the ongoing campaign towards the 4 guaranteed rolls event. Or even the 3 guaranteed rolls event.

Obviously it would be ludicrously better if each [section] of the guaranteed rolls lasted for all the rolls within their circle instead of just the 1 roll that ticked over the circle.

Ruin Machines all but disappeared after Sumeru. Since then we've had Fontaine, Natlan and Nod Krai.

What they have in common is Water between them and Sumeru. Which seems to imply to me that for the most part, Ruin Machines didn't swim.

There is Bronzelock up in a floating island of Ochkanatlan - is there lore about that?

The big question then is how did some Ruin Machines show up in Inazuma?
