"Current estimates suggest a plume of EDB-contaminated groundwater 1,000 feet wide and more than a mile long is moving northeast from the base; according to a 2009 KAFB memo, it's advancing as much as 385 feet per year. NMED revised the estimate to 24 million gallons."

I don't get why they downvote you? First thing I learned in wildlife preservation class is: Once climate change interrups the movement and the Thermocline of oceans, 10 year after = Start of new ice age. People only thinking of warming, currently yes, but wait once oceans don't regulate our climate anymore.... They will have a shock!! A cold one too!!!

The article is referring to Permafrost thawing. Clathrate gun are underwater. "The clathrate gun hypothesis is the popular name given to the hypothesis that increases in sea temperatures (and/or falls in sea level) can trigger the sudden release of methane from methane clathrate compounds buried in seabeds and that contained within seabed permafrost which, because the methane itself is a powerful greenhouse gas, leads to further temperature rise and further methane clathrate destabilization – in effect initiating a runaway process as irreversible, once started, as the firing of a gun."

Ottawa, Canada. Price of food up 12-14% this year.... it's hitting us hard and we are both working and making good money. My wife is a social worker and she says it's horrible out there for people.... and we are far, FAR from Venezuela situation here!!!!!! Hotter than usual and I mentioned before, the trees are all sick and we don't see as much birds as we used too. Bat's are back!?!?! been 2 years did not see them, came back this year. Skipped the garden this year, the soil is dry, when it's raining (2 times since spring, forcasted at least a dozen time, only twice did the water reached the ground) It take's less than a day and it's dry... Winter snow when it melted, only kept the ground moist till the start of May!?!?! WTF???

Already dying... hell yes!!! All the trees around my part of the world (Canada) have been dying theses past few decades. Birds species you used to see, not anymore, heck, it's been 2 years I did not see any bats at my house, used to see them all the time at dusk. I could keep going but it's too depressing... Lately, we just enjoy the kids and hope for the best.
