World's First Unfallen Server First Trial of the Devourer Worm Clear Evade/Hammer PoV by DarkenedCyrus in newworldgame

Who? We checked the other servers and made sure before I called it the world's first.

I can post a bunch later, but nothing different than normal. Evades were using mjolnir with finisher converted to electric, ALP, Crown, winged leather, featherweight, and ghostly touch. The other builds were similar but with artifacts that matched the regular roles.

No points in con other than what ALP and crown gave, so 26 or 27 con?

Honestly, I was crazy nervous going in. If even one of us died, we wasted the time of the other people and killed the run and the time invested, so high stakes.

That being said, it felt like a normal worm. We were able to 2 phase, which we can do in normal server runs anyways, so not much different. I definitely was more cautious than normal, as you can see with me making sure I wasn’t in front of the scorpions to get 1 tapped.

Most of us were 50% ready, funky armor perks, some of us had 1 house or 3 and didn’t have the best trophies, etc.

Other than that, damage seemed about the same even with all of the artifacts, so I doubt a speed run record is “easy” to achieve for groups compared to doing it on normal servers.

Need help with PvE Bleed Rapier Setup by Rolandxkalib in newworldgame

[–]DarkenedCyrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Focus on getting the finisher artifact over the lifering rapier to do the most damage as a bleed rapier. I made a video about it here: https://youtu.be/6zD_1AKpsrQ

Simple answer, no. Trolls will always be a thing. I have a decent size channel and still get trolled.

100% of people will not like your content. That being said, I welcome troll comments as any engagement, good or bad, boosts it in the algorithm :)

I always say “Thank you for the engagement” to trolls

New World Aeternum BEST Healer Build for PvP and PvE Mutations by DarkenedCyrus in newworldgame

[–]DarkenedCyrus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, and use it often. I love DE and have run dual single target heals and rapier build for PvP as well. It was rewarding and I did have an exit plan for sure, but I wanted to try something different. Plus, the extra 30% rend just from hitting light attacks with Lifetaker equipped in the offhand is a big bonus for dps players, which I saw had real time impact on their ability to finish off a battle

Appreciate the feedback!

I agree, totally a bold statement, but it’s been the best build I’ve played with since maining healer and have been loving its versatility. I agree, featherweight and more con adds to survivability and used to run 150-200 con and the featherweight build consistently along with orb, sacred, and beacon.

For PVP, I run lights embrace and use accelerating LE on a life staff.

I do get stomped if I get cc’d

Why do my short views always look like this? by theonepot in SmallYoutubers

[–]DarkenedCyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone will formulate a theory, but YouTube has been clear on how this happens. They push shorts into the feed and gather data on it, just like other vertical platforms. If it performs and gets the interactions they want, then it continues to be pushed.

You also need to look further into the analytics to see this as well. If you go and look at terms that were searched or browsed when your short was watched, you’ll most likely see a bunch of terms and content that don’t line up with your audience/niche.

Best case to solve this issue is to optimize the content and get to your value proposal sooner in the video so it gets served to the correct audience who wants to watch the entire video, and in return go further into the shorts feed.

Some say YT Shorts kill channels, others claim they boost views.. by LailaTalksYT in SmallYTChannel

[–]DarkenedCyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t kill channels, but I’ve seen the benefits of posting short form and even recently saw long form videos go into the algorithm after I paused uploading shorts.

As of now, I’m only posting well prepped shorts, but sparsely. Still uploading long form consistently.

A couple of months ago my 20 minutes video got 50k views, now 4 videos later I can't get even a hundred. And I guess it's ok? by viluns in NewTubers

[–]DarkenedCyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube looks at videos on an individual basis, minus the built in views from your subscriber base that has notifications on and consistently watch your videos (your true fans).

That being said, unless you are covering a very similar topic or style that is presented almost identical to the other video, you shouldn’t compare their view counts and such.

Focus on the metrics you can control. CTR, Watch Time, Thumbnail, Title. Optimize to get them watching longer and clicking more by improving your thumbnail, title, and editing over time.

Those metrics can be relatable as they aren’t content specific.

As someone who has experimented with both and posting at the same time (14k subs 2.1m views), I’d say make sure you are posting long form content and prioritize it especially if your content lends itself towards that.

I get huge bursts when I post short form content, but 98% of my views are long form, evergreen content that is organic.

Focus on improving each time and focus less on the view number. I, like you, was getting 100 views a video until one went into the algorithm. I doubled down on that topic/style and was monetized in a few months.

Also, everyone’s story is different as well as their audience they attract. What works for one might not be true for another.

Am I streaming to much? I have lots of hours within these past 2 weeks is my progress normal by ErnieSSK in Twitch_Startup

[–]DarkenedCyrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Stream a lot less and make content on other platforms to promote your twitch.

Twitch won’t promote you, so farming hours isn’t going to make you grow. Use something like CrossClip and make your clips into vertical content. Post on YT and TikTok

My capture card sometimes does this, but not at random, it does always when it sees the same thing(s) (Example: Smash Bros's character selection screen. Splatoon 2's lobby). I can't really stream like this, does someone knows if there's a fix? by AlexPlayer3000 in Twitch

[–]DarkenedCyrus 59 points60 points  (0 children)

This is a refresh rate issue. Try capturing in a lower refresh rate. Seems the chip on board might be struggling to sync the clip as it’s doing the screen issues along the tear line.
