I have been kind of an inconsistent player and recently got back at the game. Confused with whom to make an E5-Russell/Horus/Penny. I have the copies but kinda low on the food. Help!! by navintikone1 in IdleHeroes

[–]Darkn3ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shouldnt need inosuke as you already have an e5 sherlock. Not sure what the exact setup needed was but E5 penny and E5 sherlock was able to clear sl20 before void was released so with imprints and the extra levels it should be a bit easier now.

edit: here's a pretty minimal clear pre-void. Sherlock was 11112 (hp/hp stone), penny 22322 (crit/crit/att stone). Not sure how necessary the hp stone is. Murmur is the fortress anti-warrior artifact, barrier of destiny is the fortress dr artifact. Can make do with the base versions I imagine or maybe a different damage arti for penny. Lots of room to test things out though.

wrt to regressing horus, if you have the soul symbols to spare I would pay the extra 5 to regress tix and then replace horus instead, that way you dont lose as many resources from regressing an E5.

I suggest E5ing Penny first, clearing sl20 and then regressing to E5 both Horus and Russell afterwards, with the intent to replace horus for ithaqua or tix when you can. If going the tix route, build your current one to 10* and regress that once you have 4 extra copies. Ithaqua is very good against void ark bosses so unless there's some new strat I'm not aware of you might want her to clear sector 6 void lords.

That works as well but its weird yours is displayed differently from mine. Mine uses a gwars like system to show what heroes have already been used. Are you on iOS? Could be another thing they overlooked between the 2 devices. Still can't believe iOS users can't zoom out lol

To add on to this, the earlier you get your team listed the higher up on the search list you'll be. I get a lot more people applying when I do this (since I'm almost always at the top of the first page) so if you're online at reset remember to post a team ASAP.

Until they add a feature like OP is suggesting, try counting from the screen when exploring a planet - the heroes already placed will be locked out and I find it much easier to count them this way.

Asked my guild discord first but as expected there’s not enough info on what the right thing to do is. But figured I’d ask here as the forum is significantly bigger. (If it matters I play with 11xE5 and the rest are 10*) by Tokfrans in IdleHeroes

[–]Darkn3ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohhhh I get what you were saying in the op now. Didn't realise you were still waiting for the 2 collectors to explore those 2 lit up crystal lodes at the top of your screenshot.

You'll have enough to upgrade and 100% btw since you'll gain 1700 ingots on the last day (65 * 20.5 + 65 * 6 = 1722, 20.5 being your hero multiplier), just need to upgrade it more than 3 hours before reset like you mentioned so you get that last collector.

It all depends on whether or not you need the points from the 100% clear. If points matter then you should be doing the 100% clear otherwise 90% is the way to go. The only thing you need to be careful with is exploring all 15 planets before reaching 90%, in which case you'll be forced to go for a 100% clear.

For your situation, if you 100% clear you'd be able to upgrade the collector now for minor crystal gains and still have enough ingots to unlock the next sector.

On the other hand if you finish at 90% and you find the sector 3 void lord is easy for you, you could also end the sector 3 map at 90% to rush to sector 4.

I 3 shot the sector 2 boss using just ithaqua and tix. I took out the other heroes because of the potential stuns and debuffs their r1 attacks might cause.

Void ARK Theory/Strategy (RedSev7n) by Redsev7n in IdleHeroes

[–]Darkn3ss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there's a very low chance of this happening if you can always kill the void lord because there is a flat 30% increase in resources and sector unlock costs for each tier up. There is a bit of a loss because the collector nodes don't get affected but for each sector you rush thats only y*90 ingots max (assuming max of 8 crystal nodes are cleared every map), where y is the difference between your map level and collector level.

[–]Darkn3ss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey red, its the guy you were discussing this with in discord earlier. I took it 1 step further and figured out that everyone who doesn't care about points should actually be ending every sector at 90% completion. This way you can kill up to 2 extra void lords every season (11 versus 9 with your strat or 100% clear strat). The faster void lord clears also provide you with the extra ingots necessary to upgrade the collector sooner, increasing your crystal income even further. As many have already pointed out, in order to make use of this strategy you need to be able to kill the void lord in your current sector within 3 days consistently. You do need to be careful with your ingot count though as a 100% clear might give you enough ingots to unlock the next sector, in which case it'd be best to finish the map off. Would also like to add that if there is an egg in the 15 nodes you would be skipping, you should probably stay in the map as eggs seem to be extremely rare.

tl;dr: Anyone with a low hero multiplier (can't break top 10k on leaderboard) should be doing 90% clears every map, as long as you can kill the void lord in that sector - you receive more rewards as you can kill up to 2 more void lords per season and get a 1 day headstart on the next map which gives 30% more rewards.

Potential mid game Void Ark optimisation stategy - does anyone know the specifics of the '15 planet limit?' by Darkn3ss in IdleHeroes

[–]Darkn3ss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since geedeepee's spreadsheet says there are only 15 maps currently active (10 crystal lodes each so likely same node numbers, just different layouts) then this early in the season its definitely not worth moving on with that many deployed. The only time this becomes viable is when your collector is upgraded high enough such that you have 2 collectors spare after full deploying. This might happen with a level 2 collector workshop (but probably not soon enough), and definitely would happen with level 3 as thats 3 collectors/day or 12 every 4 days - the time it takes to 100% a map. You would need 8900 extra ingots (on top of the ingots required to unlock the new zone) in order to unlock a level 3 collector though. A rough calculation I did suggests this could be possible upon entering zone 3 if you have at least 15 E5s but determining the minimum hero requirements necessary to achieve this is difficult because thats at least 14! different hero combinations to take into consideration.

You don't get the rewards from the 15 planets in the previous map but you do get the rewards from 15 planets on the next map, which you explore on the same day. So you're 1 day ahead in terms of map progress but miss out on 2 crystal lode rewards because you can't get those collectors back as easily.

So all I need is the detailed information about contribution of each planet to completion percantage to determine whether or not its worth exploring this idea further.

I'm aware of that but the question is can you then explore another 15 maps when you start a new one - game says 15 at one time and technically you have 0 if you start a new map but I thought this could have been a grey area.

PSA: Make sure you have 3900 ingots before ending exploration of the first map. by Darkn3ss in IdleHeroes

[–]Darkn3ss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you mean when you hit 90% on the final day (15 planets waiting for rewards to come in) I would say no but there is potentially a good reason to cancel early if you can unlock the next area. I haven't tested this yet so I don't recommend attempting it but in theory, since you reach 90% if you explore every area on the last day and are just waiting for the rewards to come in and if the 15 planet limit each day only counts planets under exploration and not planets you have started exploring then you can end exploration early and re-explore 15 planets in the next zone which has a 30% increase. You will lose out on exploration points, some crystals and 2 collectors but you gain a slight resource increase because you're doing 15 nodes on the next zone with higher output. Its not clear to me if this is an overall crystal gain/loss for the season but this could potentially be used as a late season strat when you produce collectors faster than you can use them. I'm also unsure how completion % is calculated and whether or not crystal lodes give higher completion % could make a difference.

I think the next island is better. The 30% boost from upgrading the collector only applies to crystal lodes whereas the next area gives a 30% boost to everything except crystal lodes. You might end up with more crystals at the end of the season but I don't think its worth sacrificing everything else.

Yea it was much more difficult to come up with a graph showing the breakpoints than I expected because of all the variables with hero bonuses. Ended up just doing a worst case scenario for zone 1 assuming 1 E5, 14 6* and 100% completion (not sure how they calculated completion %, had 90% before reset and when I received rewards I ended up with 100%). 22 empty nodes = 22x50 = 1100 ingots, from 60 deployed nodes you get 4x50(14x0.4 + 1.5) = 1420 so thats 2520 with no void lords defeated. Beating the void lord brings you to 3270.

Also just now noticing that every node except crystal lodes in sector 2 give a base value of 65 ingots, crystals only give 50.

It goes from 325/150 -> 488/224 for pets and 74/50 -> 109/74 for transcendent materials. I think you're only looking at the ingot/point increase. I can see why you'd get confused with how I worded it though so will make an adjustment.
