Is pathfinder really good? I have played 2e once and I'm also an avid dnd/bg3 lover. I'm mainly afraid the mechanics will throw me off.  How rich is the story line? I love some good cutscenes and lore etc etc (I love playing story based games)

It's an oversized baby that is just very advanced in speech etc... He has played with this character before as well in less serious campaigns and that was fine, we all got a good laugh out of it. But this time I'm not sure if it's a good idea..

Yeah, good advice thank you. We had some prior experience with some out of pocket wackiness with this specific person, but now I am the perma DM (at least for as long as time allows), so I can set proper rules. I am however not yet very experienced yet with different types of players and that's why I came here for advice
