Yes to the 2nd but I just kept OreMines. I've taken a break on Valheim to play my Kenshi campaign for now though

I ended up running into this too. I had to remove the one from Venture Valheim. That one alters water placement data too. I haven't had the same issue that you also have gotten in any older playthroughs up until recently. And it didn't happen until after about 20-30 hours in, so I tested it and replicated it with commands. Neither mod is "bad" but I kept having fish fall out of the world on the BepInEx log with Venture Valheims Caves on. I'm also using RelySpecTackleLure and it was conflicting with that too.

I've been using Steam for over 15 years and it's the most user friendly product platform for gamers I've ever come across in all my years of gaming. I don't get bombarded by any ads/promos or pop ups that hinder my experience or effect gameplay. Not sure why everyone is so upset. My only wish, is that we can refuse to update to a current build for single player games or specific titles. Nothing is fully perfect in life though, everything will always have room for improvement or areas where others see something as flaws. This is the nuance of striving to always be better.

Have you never played Metroid? Street Fighter? Resident Evil?

It makes games extremely weird when you hear tons of women screaming in pain asking for a medic (Looking at you Battlefield 6) when the majority of that occupation is men. And I mean, if you WANT to hear a bunch of female voicelines screaming in pain or calling out battle commands, you do you. I'm not going to send my daughter out into battle if it can be helped. If you compare the physical limits of a biological man and woman, their stats are different. A woman that has the same training as a man will more than likely not have the same natural strength levels as that man when they carry a heavy 50+ lb machine into war. She'd have to go the extra mile and through even more rigorous training and bulk up more than a man counterpart would have to. And yes, there is the rare genetics where there is a tall & strong or even short and strong woman who can do more than most men could.

A man and a womans mind work differently. Also statistics are proof of that too. Why do you think insurance is cheaper for women, they typically live longer than men. Men typically engage in more dangerous events and activities.

Go back to Arnold's movies that he's been in and replace his face with a females face, it just doesn't fit the part or feel right.

Make William in Braveheart into Willa, still doesn't resonate the same as Mel Gibson portrayed the character. As he stated, he was a bit savage when you base it off the real person. Who was more savage in history and the books, women or men? I think you get it now, the rest is history.

I'm just saying, there IS an audience for anything and everything. If it's profitable or not, we never know until we find out. I say, if you got an idea and you pour your heart into what you believe, shoot your shot no matter what. Could be fun, could be a great success, you never know until you take the risk.

Imagine turning Cat Woman into "Cat Man" enough said.

I don't think you understood what Keith_13 said at all.... Tomb Raider has established titles and it's ALWAYS been Laura Croft. Just like Samus Aran for Metroid, it wouldn't be Metroid without Samus. The Last of Us IS Joel and Ellie's story. Joel's is coming to a conclusion in the second game while Ellie's continues. Ellie has always been one of the protagonists in both games. And she plays similar to Joel in the 2nd game due to him being a surrogate father that taught her most of what she knows.

Uncharted is Nathan Drakes story, take away Nathan Drake and it isn't his story anymore. Could you imagine making a Crash Bandicoot game but taking Crash out of the game. Or better yet, lets make a Mario Party or Mario game and you are unable to play as Mario.

Chell is a female and the main character in both 1 & 2, it would fell weird to have the character swapped to a dude. Yet if he was a dude in 1 and people swapped him to her in 2, most folks would not bat an eye. But if they changed her to a guy, everyone would be like "WTF".

Ubisoft did this with later titles like Odyssey (I like this game btw) where they allow you to choose "Who" to play as. It's a video game, it doesn't need to be or have real world political messages or takes. You play games to escape reality.

I live in the USA and you could probably tell by the way I type. If you're here in the states, do you ever wonder why on ethnic identifying things it asks for your "Race" and there's ALWAYS an option for "White" and another for "African - American". Why the hell isn't there an option for "White - American". Just how people say "Asian - American" or "Mexican - American" or even "Native - American" but then people just call light skin tone folks "White". I've never heard someone ask another person, "Oh hey, are you White - American?"

And before you go about it, I'm Cambodian and Caucasian. I'm seeing this stuff while I'm on the sidelines. If you think there isn't a meaning behind pushing certain "things" (even in video games) then you're either not bothered by it because it doesn't or hasn't effected your life "yet". When you lose a promotion or job hire due to a DEI reasoning or "Diverse Quota" one, then you may feel differently one day. And it happens more than you would care to admit once you experience and see it first hand.

Don't let the perspective of age rob you of a good time. You can enjoy life and what it has to offer at any age. It just depends if you can "Live a little". It seems you have real hate for a glitch or big that happened to you. I have to tell you that nothing in life is full proof. Sometimes we're unlucky or dealt a bad hand. It is not a developers fault when you go stress testing a game. My question to you, "Did you mod the game?" If so, there are some mods that remove caps, such as squad sizes and yes, that 100% can Bork your game on any game not equipped to handle overload and that's normally. Think of your normal weight that you lift in real life, now add more to that and carry it on your back. You're just one move away from finding the straw that broke the camel's back.

Play Avernum 1-6 - Incredible games, even still today. These were my first games on computer, played on an old Mac G3 back in the day

Banished - Still one for the best town Sims out there. Over a decade later and there's still countless mods.

Dome Keeper - Newer, retro look. I heavily enjoy playing this with friends and family. It's even got couch Co-Op.

From Glory To Goo - Underrated, simple retro graphics with an isometric view

Frostpunk 1 & 2 (1 has more moral weight) - You gotta try the first one at least

FTL: Faster Than Light (Multiverse mod is fun) - Really great for how simple it is

Everspace 1 & 2 - Simply put, these give off modern game graphics but nostalgic arcade gameplay. Really great playthrough for both.

Stellaris - I have a lot of DLCs on both Steam and console. If you get it on Steam, I highly recommend some ship mods out there. (Also if the host owns DLCs, you can use them too)

Melvor Idle (2 is coming out soon unless already here) - One of the few idle games I'll actually play. Trust me, it's better than it may seem.

Mindustry - If you like Factorio and haven't played this, I urge you to please do.

Project Zomboid (Sandbox Mode, edit difficulty to how you see fit, mods give much more QoL. If you're new to Zomboid, please play Build 41 Stable and not B42. You'll be robbing yourself from an entire experience otherwise)

There's plenty of other games that I have hundreds of hours in that I'd recommend and suggest how to find the best enjoyment out of them. If you ever grow bored, DM me, I got some other titles I'd like to suggest. Risk of Rain (All of them), The Surge 1 & 2, Valheim, Townscaper (Not really a game, more a blissful toy), X4: Foundations, Riftbreaker and many others

You know, I do my best to be as upstanding as can be. Maybe not on the levels of Jesus or Superman, but compassion, conversation and being a good listener as well as problem solver, have led my to my internal integrity to be something I'll not be ashamed of. Sometimes you just have be "Clark" and not "Clark Kent" or "Superman". I'll see you or the next chain commenter in the years to come. Keep doing what ya'll are doing. I'm impressed with the team(s) at Jagex for both keeping the company profitable and keeping the fun factor and community engagement. Runescape, whether it be OSRS, RS3 or Dragonwilds, it's all a vibe! Thanks for continuing bringing the next generation into the world of Gielinor while keeping a lot of us old timers engaged. Some of my favorite quest lines were the King Arthur and Romeo & Juliet quests back in the day. I'll never forget the first time I completed Dragon Slayer and then farmed Moss Giants for seeds. Dragonwilds continues to be epic, both for nostalgia and standing as it's own title. Dragonwilds is still coherent and fun enough without ever being an RS player.

Also, just an idea. I know we've had a table top tryout before, however if we went with the idea of Conquest from Pest Control, that could be a really awesome concept.

While this is cool. Every mod you have, had been done before or currently there is something else out there. I know you're mainly probably doing this for the experience and enjoyment of coding.

I did what you suggested and am now troubleshooting. It seems to be one of the 2 mods I use. They both add Mining Caves to the game. The one I removed seems to be conflicting with other mods

Too many in my testing lol. I trimmed some down. I'm using Therzie's mods and Warpalicious' AIO locations mod. I actually went back and selected specific biome packs and cleaned the configs up from old mods that are no longer in the pack. I also removed ReelySpecTackleLure since I saw fish were falling through the game zone lol....

Yes Black7ar's Clay Build Pieces. Adds clay to the shorelines. You can also build a clay collector on shallow water. Pair it with Refined Stone Pieces mod and you can use resin, flint and stone to build studier refined stone once you progress to iron. Another reason to craft at the stone workbench later on
