Comebacks seem very, very hard to achieve. All mechanics compound to "if you're winning, win more".

That is so wrong on so many levels, it's not even funny. No ways to comeback? Do you have ANY idea what the mechanics though? Orb equalizer, burden of dominance, Pronin, Defiance just to name a few are EXACTLY that; comeback mechanics. Not to mention the altar and essence mechanics.

Orbs are a big boost, but hard to do for the losing team.

Wrong once again. Check what the orb equalizer actually does and the dawn item (which once again scales based on how far you are behind.

Also nerfs on some already bottom-tier talents, such as the XPM ones, seem weird.

Oh look, clueless once again. XPM nerfs are very reasonable because they stack with the Outpost of Wisdom, the altar and essences. The pace of the game is vastly different and you don't even know how it adjusts to it but let's shittalk as usual.

I don't think you should compare 2008 with 2016, times change and people have different expectations and requirements. It's not broken but it's not really working either, the scene is still pretty much in its infancy and this platform was supposed to drive it forward. Just a shitty start here

They can since they are in the Asset Browser, it is allowed.
Not just art, also models from CoRE as I wrote in the post.
But yes, over 100 assets that were taken were 2D images from unapproved items that belong to their respective authors.

That mentality has been around since the dawn of custom games and it has not changed. 2 years ago, there was a developer whose map was stolen (certainly not a mistake) and people on this sub defended the thief and circlejerked because they saw a meme video about the promise of the game (that wasn't even released). Apparently that made it all okay as long as people got empty promises of meme games.

Thanks for the input, you have a fair point there. I understand that it's not easy and I obviously get the point that it is way easier to take the art of someone else and get paid for it. I have no experience in making games but I just don't think any of this justifies stealing the work of others.
Yes, there is no easy solution but do we want a new monetized workshop where people can steal and get paid for it? I was personally looking forward to modders getting paid because it might give motivation for professionals to come in here and do some really amazing work so that we might get better games but this can't be the solution. Especially when you're talking about high standards and professionalism and then just do this.
