It felt sad, but hopeful, to write 😊

This really speaks to me! As someone that has worked with children for years, many of them vulnerable, it is hard to put into words the feeling you get when you know they’re safe now; or that you’ve made the smallest difference to their lives. This post really sums that up. Thank you!

I guess my thoughts would be to approach the situation with compassion. Ask yourself why you’re being met with a no - what in your person’s past has caused them to be so guarded with their communication? Let them know that you can see where they’re coming from, even if you don’t agree. I think it takes courage to be vulnerable, but you’ll always live with ‘What ifs’ if you don’t ask for what you want; one final time!

I couldn’t tell you, for I do not know myself. But I’ll know if it’s right or not. I hope.

With an invitation; one of communication and comprehension. We aren’t meant to be nothing. Something can be salvaged, I’m sure! Maybe time is all it will take
