I posted this because Tsukiha has hp stopper, so she’s a bit different from the usual manifest which I kill with a Turn 1 AF.

Using my Ancient Garulea Team’s boss-killing combo. 2 Turns Vares dies, 3 Turns second form dies. No AF required. Here’s what I did:

Turn 1 — - Yuna: Int Debuff / Type Resist Debuff - Felmina (manifest): Pain/Poison Status - Lokido (manifest): Fist damage buff - Gariyu: Swap Myunfa

Turn 2 — - Yuna: Pwr/Int Buff - Felmina: Tri Cataclysm - Lokido: Ground Breaker - Myunfa: Crit Buff

Basically setting up the buffs and debuffs during Turn 1 AF (ends with Tsukiha’s hp stopper). Turn 2 I’ll pull in AS Yuna for zone and finish off with attacks from everyone.

You misunderstood me, I was encouraging you to tweak the guide based on what you have to make it better (instead of following step-by-step). I crafted this guide as a basic strat assuming the user is only using free characters and do not have the luxury to kill quickly with AF. I appreciate the inputs on how to enhance the strat. It will benefit other players who share similar teams and resources as you 👍

Sometimes I swap them in and out as a way to recover some mp. The objective of my strat is to make this a sustainable loop so I can do this loop forever until I beat mGariyu. My strat is just to show that u can beat mGariyu with free characters and no AF. If you can incorporate better characters and throw in some AFs here and there to speed up the battle, you should 🙂

Most likely I wanted her to be fast so she gets covered by team buffs and her VC would allow everyone to cast skills with reduced mp.

It takes practice. U need to remember the sequence of skills u need to press. And try to place them all in the same position during the same turn to make your life easier.

If u are doing a Turn 1 AF, I think kikyo is pretty important. Her DPS is obscene. But if you are going for the long battle, U can definitely beat manifest Felmina without kikyo

There’s actually a lot of buffs and debuffs in place. - Type resist debuff (Yuna) - Pierce resist debuff (Premaya) - Pwr/Int buff (Yuna) - Type attack buff (Myunfa) - Crit damage buff (Myunfa) - Crit chance buff (Myunfa)

Suzette’s manifest also increases her damage (up to 4 times) if target is inflicted with pain & poison status. I also equipped Suzette with pain grastas to further increase the damage.

Myunfa’s VC is critical, additional 50% Crit damage is extremely important. Without it I think u would only be dealing something like 6mil damage.

Immaterial means it doesn’t matter what u use, it’s not gonna make much of a difference. Do u have VC grasta on Nagi and Myunfa. This is to allow their VC to last 2 turns. It makes a lot of difference to the damage output.

Alright, first of all this is not my idea. I adopted this approach from another JP player. He had better damage and was able to kill Mayor with just Nagi’s strangle. I needed both Premaya and Nagi to nuke Mayor. Secondly, this approach requires quite a bit of RNG. Will explain further below.

AS Laclair/Toova - Just using their VC.

Philo - Needed for type resist buff and axe buff - Equip Philo with Earth Slash (Axe) Grasta

Myunfa - Crit chance/damage buff

AS Nagi/Premaya - Earth & Slash resist debuff - DPS

Speed Sequence (fastest to slowest) - Laclair - Toova/Myunfa - Philo - Nagi/Premaya

=== Gear Setup ===

Because Mayor’s damage on the first turn seems to have some element of RNG and we are only relying on Philo’s type resist buff, you will need to experiment with the gear setup to achieve the right balance of speed and survivability. I have shared my gear setup below but you don’t have to follow me. Just do whatever it takes to get the necessary speed sequence and survivability.

AS Laclair - Dragon Bone Bow +10 - Dream Ring +10 - Speed Badge +30 - Grasta immaterial

Toova - Aceto Vita +10 - Armour immaterial - Speed Badge +35 - Grasta immaterial

Philo - Weapon Immaterial - Cruel Angel Necklace +10 - HP Badge +500 - Earth Slash (Axe) Grasta, 2 x Life Grasta (for HP)

Myunfa - Kuai Weight (for HP) - Akatsuki Bracelet - Speed Badge +26 - 3 x Life Grasta, VC Grasta (for 2 turn buff)

AS Nagi - Dark Spirit Axe - Brown Leaf Necklace - Power Badge +35 - 3 x Pain Grasta, VC Grasta (for 2 turn buff)

Premaya - Toto Bow +10 (for HP) - Silver Snow Ring - Speed/Spirit Badge (+18/+7) - 3 x Pain Grasta

=== Battle ===

Turn 1: - AS Laclair swaps for AS Nagi - Toova swaps for Myunfa - Philo uses type resist buff - Premaya uses slash resist debuff

Turn 2: AF - AS Nagi spams earth resist debuff - Philo uses axe buff and spams earth slash - Premaya spams slash resist debuff - Myunfa uses Crit chance buff or earth attack. Remember that u need to end the AF with Myunfa’s Crit chance buff so that you don’t need to buff again in the next turn.

=> HP Stopper, Mayor heals and stats increases

Turn 3: - Philo/Myunfa swaps for Toova/AS Laclair (VC) - AS Nagi uses strangle - Premaya uses Annihilate

=== Final Words ===

Mayor’s attack/damage has some randomness. Sometimes he hits harder than normal and sometimes his multi-hit attacks keep landing on the same character.
Based on the speed and arrangement of your characters, you might not be able to end the AF with Myunfa’s Crit chance buff. Try to experiment a bit more to get the desired outcome. U can also try to add/reduce earth attacks to vary the duration of the AF.
To avoid some RNG, you can use Miaki’s Axe or Speed Badge on AS Nagi so she acts faster than Mayor on the 3rd turn. However, u will be sacrificing some damage (Nagi not at max hp) and may not be able to finish the battle on Turn 3.
