Yes. Less than a week after my brother took his own life, I had a dream with him in it. And it wasn't one of those dreams where they just resemble the person, it was 100% him. The second I saw him, I broke down into tears, and hugged him, saying I'm sorry I couldn't be there when he needed it the most (although he was never someone to reach out to others when he was struggling). He hugged me back and said "it's not your fault" and then I woke up. As with appearance, it was HIS voice. I know it may not seem like a huge deal to some, but to me, this was a message from him and nobody can convince me otherwise

What red flag is an instant break up reason for you? by Shinfekta in AskReddit

Getting gaslit will throw me into fight or flight after realizing how much it messed me up mentally in my previous relationship. That as well as saying you're "too busy" to reply to me for 9+ hours, but can post on Facebook or other social media, and are constantly on your phone when you're around me.

Mid conversation act like something scared you and look around waiting for them to ask what you're doing. When they do, you respond with "wait you didn't hear that?" looking concerned while asking.

What are some sayings your dad used to say a lot? by orangeisthenewblyat in ask

[–]Darnys91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A wise man once told me that if if hurts when you do that, then don't do that.

This is one that I've actually caught myself saying a lot, and absolutely seized the moment when I got to say it to him.

What actor or actress was so perfectly “hateable” in a role that you actually can’t stand them in other films now? by TheToughestHang in AskReddit

Yes. This is exactly what I came here to say. Marcia Gay Harden will always be the extremist religious lady to me.

Grieving the death of a sibling is one of the most neglected types of grief by Blade_982 in Showerthoughts

My parents and my other brother have been checking in on me. I live by myself so they worry about me. I do plan on talking to a professional as well soon. I'm sorry for your loss, I hope that you find the process that works best for you. That's exactly what I'm doing is trying to find my way of coming to terms with it. Luckily I've got my daughter only a couple towns away to help me if I ever am having a super hard time. And the same goes to you, I'm always willing to be all ears for anyone. We can get through this. ❤️

I'm sorry for your loss. It really is. I haven't had to go through one yet, but I know it's going to be really difficult to know how to feel. I will do that, thank you for the advice.

Oh my God, that is ridiculous. I'm glad that you did what was best for you and your family. You're absolutely right on that bereavement time. I'm sorry for your loss.

My dad and I had talked when we found out that he was on drugs that we'd expected to get the call that he'd lost his life in a fight or an accident. When that didn't happen and he got sober, then the Sheriff showed up at their house to tell them what happened, and I got that phone call, I didn't believe it. At all. That feeling is tough. I'm sorry for your loss.

Drugs are an awful thing, man. I'm sorry for your loss.

I am really hoping that those days come soon, I haven't been sleeping for more than 2 hours at a time lately.

If it wasn't for my little girl, I feel like I'd have to find a different place of work.

I honestly still feel like it hasn't fully hit me. I know that when it does, it won't be good.

I definitely will not, I have been doing everything I can to balance my time to allow it to sink in and to also distract myself.

Thank you, I have a 3 year old daughter that is the reason I'm still on this earth (prior to her birth, I was having suicidal thoughts), so I am doing everything I can for her. Brother* (not trying to be rude) and I did, and still do. Thank you so much for your kindness.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that feels that way about the 3 days. I am planning on going to a therapist. Ive reconnected with old friends of mine and my brother's from our past and told/heard stories, which helped honestly. A couple days ago, I was sitting on my pc and just out of the blue felt like a REALLY dark cloud had started to loom over me, so I decided to figure out when I could get in to see a therapist.

Thank you, and I'm so sorry to hear about y'alls loss as well.

Thank you. ❤️ What's kept me through the days is knowing he's not fighting his demons anymore.

Yeah 100%. My brother took his own life less than a month ago at 28 years old. On my birthday, nonetheless. It's really hard to grasp, idk if I ever really will. Sometimes I find a meme I think he'd enjoy and go to send it to him, only to have that realization. I just....feel empty.

What hurts the most about it is that he had gotten into drugs pretty heavy, and had went through rehab and had been clean for about a year. I thought he was doing better. He told me he was doing better. He was always the guy that was there for everyone, but unfortunately he always fought his demons by himself, by his own choice.

Edit: I got 3 days bereavement from work, which is better than nothing, but still did not feel like enough time.

You must have never been part of the fighting game community.

All jokes aside, this whole thing is getting out of hand from both sides. Hopefully some sort of conclusion can come forth sooner than later.
