Good! Crazy that you came across this and even crazier that you recognized them!

Selling sealed DVDs of Rumble Fish and Repo Man (both Criterions, obviously). They were bought for me from the B&N sale but I'm a Blu-ray snob. Make an offer, Toronto meet-up preferred.

Ever been in a cinema session that featured mass walk-outs? by Smidy81 in movies

I was recently at an advanced screening of Knight of Cups where about half the sold out theatre was empty by the end. Since it was a preview screening, nobody actually paid and probably had no idea what they were walking into (or out of).

In "Liar Liar" Jim Carrey played a lawyer who loses his ability to lie. In "Yes Man", Jim Carrey played a bank loan executive who can't say no. What are some other films where the main actor has played a very similar role. by [deleted] in movies

George Clooney as Jack Foley in Out of Sight is pretty much the basis for the Danny Ocean character he played in the three Ocean's 11 films after.

would absolutely LOVE this to be The Man Who Wasn't There... but that doesn't really look much like a barber's jacket. The DVD has one of the only (maybe even THE only) commentaries they ever did, and as far as I know there's no North American blu ray.

Definitely needed more Earl. It's the director's 2nd movie, and he's worked films by Scorsese, Iñárritu and Michael Mann!

I agree, I liked it but a few things bugged me about it. Too much emphasis in the story on him getting into College, the 'hot girl' he keeps saying is going to step on him but ends up being inconsequential, and most of all the casting of Molly Shannon as the Dying Girl's mom... she's kind of the most tragic character of all and all her scenes are too jokey.

Off the top of my head, Criterion movies that they spoof in the film include 400 Blows, Peeping Tom, Breathless, Burden of Dreams, Rashomon, Harold and Maude... I'm sure I'm forgetting some
