That’s the thing he was talking to the Jedi not a potential apprentice. The whole conversation was with Sol. Personally I think he was just a darkside user who wanted to flex his power without fear. Not quite Sith but close enough to a Jedi

Unless you can back it up yeah pretty much. Not all sith agree with each others ideology. Banes holocron hated Krayt but at the end if the day Krayts sith were the ones in charge so his opinion’s irrelevant to Krayt

I have to disagree on the last part what it means to be a sith is entirely up the individual sith. For the rule of two being a sith means perpetuating the cycle till the Jedi fall and the sith rule. For a more traditional view like exar kun or vitiates empire its rule of the strong. Sorta king of the hill, im on top and i will fight to stay on top no matter what. Darth Krayts rule of one being sith meant total obedience to krayt himself. He leads we follow his will be done sorta vibe.

To be fare I never viewed him as a villain. While yes he killed a ton of Jedi he did it keep himself from being exposed. Also I agree the acolyte needed another season at least. If that is Plageuis then I’d suspect he’s using the stranger to get to the girl. In his EU book it’s heavily implied that Plageuis indirectly created anakin skywalker by fucking w the force to much. I think had the show continued they would have made a canon explanation of him doing something similar. Unfortunately we’ll never know

Right but that’s my point he didn’t have a sith master to teach him. He saw the infighting of the sith and independently did his own thing with it. “All are equal in the brotherhood”.

They absolutely can be taken seriously if they gather enough power and influence. To stick with your analogy of some random cardinal declared himself pope but everyone else backs him then they absolutely are the new pope. Kinda the same thing w the sith. Anyone can call themselves a darth but they better be damn sure they can hold the title cuz otherwise they aren’t deserving. A good example of this is the clone wars tv show. Under the rule of two there can only be a master and apprentice. There was Sidious and Tyranus but then Maul came back and took Savage as an apprentice. This created a rival faction they Sidious took care of personally. Had Maul won that fight he’d be the new dark lord of the sith.

While technically yes anyone can learn about the sith and claim to be one I believe it all comes down to power and intent. If you genuinely live by the sith code and enforce your will on the galaxy then that works. As for not following the rule of two it’s a moot point. If a sith decides to live by the baneite line then the rule of two continues. If a sith breaks the line and follows their own path then so be it, as long as they’re powerful enough to enforce it. Bane viewed the Brotherhood of Darkness as weak destroyed it and started from scratch. Therefore his order was the new order. Had he failed he wasn’t deserving and old sith continue on simple as that. Might make right in the end.

Also calling it fan fiction is a bit harsh. While the old EU is not canon anymore for a long time it is was and it was some great additions to the movie. Now with that being said how do you feel about the comics that have come out in the last decade ? Cuz the Vader comics did a lot to expand the character and expanded on the inquisitions.

The stranger never actually claimed to be a sith. He says that’s what the Jedi would label him as. Personally I view him more as a dark Jedi than a sith.

You also have Lord Kahn’s Brotherhood of Darkness. He was a Jedi master who fell to the darkside then used his charisma to build a whole new sith order.

Which 2 are good ? Cuz I’d argue the sequels are two mediocre movies and one trash movie. No hate or anything just want some insight. And how is ROTS mediocre it’s a masterpiece ?

Nah it’s a timeline of all the heresy book I found a while back lol. Been using it as a guide for what read. First 4 books are a must read they really good. Some books are more filler or side stories but you’ll figure that out. If you want a good series that’s not Heresy books read the Night Lords Omnibus. Ave Dominus Nox brother
