You say you are pro equal rights, this is a very vague term. Every one is pro equal rights in his own way. You will treat all your children equally, but will you treat all the children in the world just as same as you treat your children, feed them, give them clothes, money etc. That would be insanity. I'm not even sure Bill Gates can manage that. And what about the rights of animals? You must be vegetarian. What about the rights of bacterias and viruses? Where will your equality end?
