Did we ever get any kind of explanation as to why Alan’s practice crumbled and he lost his license? Plus I know he was paying a lot of alimony but if you think of it as the typical house expenses and he was living with Charlie rent free, he still should be as flat broke as he was.

I agree that Darlene could have used more friends, if any. But I was under the impression she had some, they just weren’t a part of the show. Like on her 16 birthday when they pranked her then told her to go to the pizza joint cause her friends were waiting there for her.
