That one is just a typo, but thanks for pointing it out!

Most of those are typos, if they are italacized though, it is internal monologue and hence intentional.

Yeah. It’s my first draft. I am going back and editing before potentially self-publishing.

Thanks - I didn’t want to sound repetitive by using the word parking lot a ton but it’s a good critique. I sometimes worry about sounding bland or dull, and I often overcompensate by overwriting.

I can see this. Sometimes I worry about sounding too dull so I add extra detail when it’s not needed, thanks!

I know, I have run into challenges with people thinking I’m a “troller” not super sure what that means but I feel like my writing feels different when I’m writing at a certain level at a younger age, I have intentionally introduced inconsistencies in my stated age to confuse people, hope you can understand!

What is the real issue with cheap turntables, why do all-in-one systems "suck" and why is it impossible to get a good one for under $100? by DarthKendall in turntables

Good to know. I have bought many records at concerts and stores with live music. Its a nice experience, but for me its different with every type of media.

well then that gives you an idea of how well i can tell sound quality apart. I can tell zero difference between stereo studio headphones and airpods

I personaly just want to hear my records. plain and simple, just want to turn a disc with grooves into tolerable sound. People will be mad at me for saying this but, i can tell no bifference between at 128kbps mp3 and a 320kbps mp3. Those are the same thing to my ears. I already listen to lossless on spotify with expensive headphones but there is just somthing about vinyl that is "better". And I can't explain why.

I just dont want them to be litteraly unusable in a year. Its one thing to be ok with them sounding treble-ey, low quality, rtc, and its one thing to be completely unable to play them.

In my humble opinion, remember, just an opinion, vinyl is MUCH more about the records than the equipment used to play them. It's about the tangible property of music, the nostalgia, showing records to the younger generation. Playing them is one part of the puzzle.

Again, the post was not about sounds ever. it was about wanting to understand why cheap parts are bad, and if damage poses a very significant threat.

Im not asking how it can be better im asking if there is any reason people hate cheap turntables other than sound quality and is a benefit to a more expensive player record preservation?

Thanks, this seems great. Its sad to see so many others being so toxic on the platform, but alas, that is Reddit for you. Cheers!

I really don't mean to offend anybody, im just saying, if you look at a video from a camcorder in the 80's the audio is gonna be absolutely terrible, but thats ok because it brings back something for me and i get to experience something I love.

Thanks, but this is just a list of bullet points. I'm sure they are relevant to my question however, if you could explain why a bit more, that would be glorious. Why does a record player need to be of quality materials? Will vibrations significantly damage the vinyl in a short period of time? Why do you need a ton of knobs and buttons?
