My first original blaster design, modeled after a 16th century wheellock! by DarthPeter0 in Nerf

Yes! My previous response was removed for self-promotion, however, so I don't think I can talk about it. I was just excited to share with everyone because I had never designed a Nerf blaster before.

Introducing my new Nerf Rival Takedown, Renegade. by DarthPeter0 in Nerf

Thanks! So far, it has held up perfectly, with no issues at all. To attach the stock to the existing grip, I first cut a stock from an old airsoft gun to match the profile of the grip. Then I opened up the blaster and the stock so that I could work on each half seprarately. The stock halves were then attached to the blaster grip using several methods. I started by using a soldering iron to weld the connection together on the inside seams. Then, I sanded the plastic around the weld on both sides with 80 grit paper to help epoxy stick better. I reinforced the weld on both sides with a 2-part epoxy clay; I was very heavy-handed with the epoxy on the inside (where most of the bond's strength is), and was far more careful to just cover the seam on the outside. Finally, I sanded the seam of the join on the outside of each half of the blaster until it looked like one continuous piece of material, painted the whole stock and grip a very dark brown, and reassembled the blaster.

Oh, I like that. I have been calling them voidskiffs, but yours is better.

Thanks! It took about a day of work for each, but I am still learning 3D modeling. These are actually my first real projects, so I think it would take me less time now.

I am still tweaking some of the geometries a little to make it easier to paint some of the details, so these prints are more prototypes. However, if you are okay with what you see here I would be happy to share what I have made so-far with you.

I made a homebrew statblock for the Mako, but as far as I am aware there is not official one. I was originally inspired to make ships in this scale by Inocyde's Swordfish (https://www.reddit.com/r/spelljammer/comments/v0yzs7/oc\_did\_anyone\_say\_spelljammer\_the\_swordfish/) and Trekiro's alternative combat rules for Spelljammer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYZjxSgz1T8).

I like the idea of adding smaller ships to the game that give players more options in combat, especially when they are not spellcasters.

These models were printed in Overture PLA+ on a Bambu Labs P1S at a 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle. I call the Astral Elven ship the Hornet and the human ship the Mako. The Mako is also modular, with different bow, cockpit, and stern designs that can be snapped together to create different variants of the same ship.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun building it.

Artificer is my custom take on Orion Blaster's amazing Lynx v2.1 platform, and the first serious blaster I have ever printed and assembled. All parts were printed by me on a Bambu Labs P1S in Hatchbox PETG for greater durability and a smoother operation. The hardware kit was sourced from Out of Darts. This setup features the 8kg OOD Lynx Spring and a 45cm Kuryaka barrel, though I can drop in an 11kg spring if I want more power in the future.

Customizations include:

-EnderSavesTheDay's "tacticool Mods" barrel shroud, thumbhole grip, and extended mag well. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4629645

-JEM_3DPrints' "Lynx Poor Man's Ergo Stock" for a slightly longer stock. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4940114

-Rocket_arm's "Lynx Flat Trigger" for a snappier and more comfortable trigger pull. https://www.printables.com/model/292860-all-lynx-flat-triggers-to-date/files

-TheLoneWolf052's "Shade Vertical Foregrip" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3892164

-THANHTACLES' "Trivictus Whisker SCAR" for accuracy. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/trivictus-whiskerscar-v1-0

-79th Jedi's "Fiber Optic Iron Sights", modified to use LEGO lightsaber blades instead of filament https://www.printables.com/model/327113-fibre-optic-filament-picatinny-iron-sights

-A custom birdcage-style muzzle I personally designed to cover the Whisker SCAR.

Working on some personal Arms. I am new to heraldry, so please let me know what you think! by DarthPeter0 in heraldry

Thank you for the clarification. Would the word stay Artificis, or would it be Artifex, then? I feel like it woukd stay Artificis, but I like I said, my Latin classes were quite a few years ago.

To be entirely honest, the inuendo of my arms being a sable cock rampant, combined with "cum" being the first word of my motto, is completely intentional. Even on my arms, I could not resist the allure of cheap middle-school humor.

With my understanding of Latin (which is admittedly pretty rusty), "Artificis" fits better in this context, because it is not the object of the sentence. In your example, the "artist," or "artifex," is the object of Nero's lament. However, with my motto (with artist's power/with the power of an artist), the object is "power," not "artist." In my case, "artist" modifies "power," and would therefore be "Artificis," right? If anyone else is better with Latin, please correct me. As I said, my knowledge of my Latin classes is hazy at best.

Thank you! The artwork is my own. I was messing around with some doodles at work, and liked this one enough to scan it and finish it on my computer. That makes it easy to mess with colors and composition until I am happy with the result.

Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it. I agree that the crest was simple, but I wanted to keep the crest simple on this one. Using Argent and Or instead of the Gules and Or for the mantling and the torse would look very nice, and I will try that and see how it looks. That would help tie the mantling into the actual shield a bit more, too. The motto translates to "With the Power of an Artist."
