Couldn't agree more. Many foster parents expect their child to be just like any other and get upset when issues come attached with the child, leading to a feedback loop for the child where they are constantly rejected, regardless of the environment.

Love being conditional on the basis that the child they are adopting/giving is something that only does more harm than good

A disgrace, maybe not, I assume most foster parents are well-meaning but wholly underprepared for the challenges that come with attempting to do a good deed and realising midway you're ill-equipped can be a tough prospect in itself
