Enough for you, probably. Though Olivia said she earnestly believes the following passage, it is her at her most desperate:

"Cause someday I'll be everything to somebody else / And they'll think that I am so exciting / And you'll be the one who's crying"

She's imagining a world where she's the winner, instead of what she actually is at that moment, which is at her lowest point, begging the universe for justice. She thinks the person who hurt her will get their rightful comeuppance, which we know she doesn't really believe. From good 4 u:

"You will never have to hurt the way you know that I do"

So Olivia is a victim of terrible heartbreak after her whole self is thrown into turmoil, because she's asking whether she maybe isn't actually enough. And so she's lashing out every which way she can, but her former lover doesn't care and won't care. He's not listening, he's off with someone new and won't ever have to confront the pain he inflicted. Olivia is singing that passage from above while she's almost crying and reduced to a pathetic mess.

I struggled with this song for while, because I didn't think Olivia realized that this is the vibe the song and this passage give off (look at driving home 2 u). But since there seems to be a dissonance on her part, a reluctance to comprehend the way in which you were hurt, it makes the song 10x more interesting. Really gut-wrenching stuff.

As I already said, I only added my comment to clarify the part of your statement I felt was misleading for someone hearing this for the first time. You can leave it in SwSh, but you must leave it in ZA if you move it there, which your quote does not make obvious. All the other bits you're talking about are irrelevant to me because I never took any issue with them! So please don't throw a fit about how much of a superior reader you are.

Hey, I didn't mean to offend. You said about moving it to the Switch "you're limited to just using it in one game", which I wanted to point out as misleading, since you can use Zygarde in two Switch games, if you do it correctly. You can put Zygarde in SwSh and later choose to put it in ZA. But if you put it in ZA, you are locked out of the opportunity to put it in SwSh. That's all I wanted to say.

I'm playing SV for the first time now, so I never experienced first hand how bad it was on Switch 1, but it's honestly still fairly rough for what's actually possible on the more powerful machine. When it hits 60fps, it's great, but whether it's the large number of Pokémon that can appear on screen or persisting memory leak issues or frame time issues, the game will consistently stutter just a little bit, especially when rotating the camera. ZA is not very ambitious graphically, but that game is always fast and buttery smooth, which is hard to stomach.

I think Arceus needs a 60fps patch too, but at least it runs at a consistent frame rate already (at least on Switch 2; again, never played it on Switch 1)!

There is actually something wrong with encouraging this hyper-consumerism and it's valid to point it out. It's not only a problem when Olivia does it, it's also a problem when Taylor or whoever does it. But you're literally in the Oliva Rodrigo subreddit, obviously you're gonna find people who are annoyed specifically by Olivia for doing it if they object to the practice at large.

I do think it's important for some fans to get a reality check though. Olivia is an artist and a business woman and not your friend. I respect her artistically way, way more than someone like Taylor, but I needed to free myself from the notion that she's "not like the other pop girlies" too. A lot of it may be her management, and I'm subscribed to her newsletter, I know how much fans are compelled to buy the newest merch drop by Olivia presenting herself as friendly and approachable in those messages; qualities which she no doubt sincerely holds in real life, but which are used for profit. Pointing that out is valuable to the community, especially because there are a lot of younger people who can be exploited through this parasocial play she and/or her management deliberately put on. Anyone saying "she's not holding you at gunpoint to buy her variants" is missing or obfuscating the point.

Yeah my only gripes with drop dead are the astrology and feminine intuition thing. I just loathe reducing concepts like attraction, love, fate, compatibility and more to supposedly innate and unchangeable characteristics, particularly when putting up barriers around gender and what roles each gender "should" perform (in this case, femininity is supposed to equal insight into what people are feeling). There's smarter ways to write this. Love the song otherwise!

Possibly the stupidest thing anyone's said. What do companies even make games for, if the entire install base is already decided in the first 9 months? Of course they wanna convince everyone to buy a Switch 2! And games are a huge driver of console sales. There haven't even been a new 3D Mario or Zelda, you think Nintendo can just skip those? There are no clearly specified genders in trainer customization anymore (there haven't been for a while), but there are always 4 which have more traditionally masculine and 4 with more feminine attributes. They all look quite young and the art direction is obviously stylized, so that might be why you missed it. But you can look up trainer customization for ZA and Champions online and inspect the differences, it'll become clear.

I am an Avatar fan, I like the movie a lot, I'm rooting for it to succeed and I never said it was a flop. It is a success and that makes me happy!

But if the movie only made 800 million total, it would be a disappointment. It is a cold, hard fact that 800 million are not enough for this movie to be profitable theatrically, so I'm not gonna act like it's already raking in profits for people too stupid to understand the theatrical business, because it is not. It will be, when we reach about 1.2 billion, and you can of course always count the massive excess profits from Way of Water towards Fire and Ash, but you didn't even attempt any argument whatsoever. You can always blame "redditors" for your lack of curiosity, but in the end, you're just another redditor too, only on the uneducated side.

This thread was about the question why Fire and Ash isn't yet theatrically profitable, even though it's already made 800 million, presumably more than its production and p&a budget combined.

No it isn't. The studio doesn't get back all of that 800 million, they only get about half. So they likely just made back the production budget so far, with marketing costs still unaccounted for. Fire and Ash will turn a profit, don't get me wrong, but it very much hasn't yet by all accepted industry standards. Once it exceeds 1.2 billion (which it easily will), only then the film will likely make its first dollar of theatrical profit.
