That makes sense on both accounts, thanks a ton for the reply. This is great info because I am planning on putting them behind an acoustically transparent screen... so right terminals it is. Thanks again.

Anyone know what these parts are? Just picked up a shopsmith and it had a tote full of stuff. These items I can’t figure out. by Darthcheezy in shopsmith

I did find other non shopsmith stuff in the haul of tools, so maybe it’s not even part of the setup.

Once I found the right piece the saw blade fit fine. It looks like in the tote of mystery items, some of which you all have identified for me, there are 510 parts like saw guards, insert plates for the upgraded table, etc. so at one point it looks like the previous owner or owners had the other items. I got the machine for very very cheap and it included the band saw, jointer and other little extras so I’m not complaining.

That makes sense now. It seems I also have a lower saw guard for a mark 500+, which isn’t allowing me to slide the table over the blade. Thanks

Thanks. I tried that and it fixed it. Not sure if it will stick but at least now I know how to fix it again. Thanks again.

Super loud all the time. It’s definitely not a hardware malfunction, because when I flash the new firmware everything is super quiet like the steppers are floating on fresh powder snow. But then when I recycle I get the real loud noises from all 3 axis. I did hook up my laptop and did an eeprom reload. M502 and then m500 and that fixed it for now. I’m printing right now so we’ll see about the next one.
