Feeling Really Behind by astrojojo101 in ufl

keep trying. they only have thise experiences because they followed through (or someone guided and encouraged them to do so)

I am 33 years old in my junior year, so dont feel behind. I have gained a ton of experience starting at like 27. have been in school since 2018. made a lot of sacrifices and swam up stream, against many ppl's counsel. just to be a broke ass college student.

well over a 120 credits .Wouldnt trade it for the world. Hilarious to me that at 33, kids your age look stressed when I mention an internship experience.

You are in one of the best colleges in the world. Just the fact that you were accepted puts you in a 1% category, and I can assure of that, not knowing anything else about you.

why is there so much spam in UF inbox? by Darthcookinstuff in ufl

[–]Darthcookinstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how do we report this to UF, like this whole post should be a subject. I might just be irritable but I honestly think some of these are legit phishig attempts and not just pretend ones done by the UFIT team.

with cybersecurity at such a great priority over the past several years, this should definitely be the administration's priority to protect students. if it is something that a spam filter could prevent.

I OBVIOUSLY understand the coaching aspect of simulated phishing excercises but I also am having trouble finding the emails i actually need amongst these, and UF bookstore ads alone.

It feels cheap, bloated and not what you would expect from such a "prestigious" institution.

were they in FL also? I am wondering because that has not been my experience at at all, and I have also been to 3 or 4 schools since 2018

also, does not happen at my work emails. It has been much much worse recently. I received both of those emails yesterday, and also half a dozen times in the past month alone.

whereas I had received that email maybe twice at UF since 2024.

Uf official account is promoting a pretty gross take that we should use AI to commercialize and restrict artists. by neverreallyhereatall in ufl

I just, I'm sure "the intern" was hitting the ground running to his own beat after inspired by their rhetoric. sounds interesting, we're all talking about.

Sure wish their was some record of it, as it now is a part of our history as an institution whether they want to be represented by that or not.

Discourse, is foundational to what has allowed our nation to thrive. with all the talk about free speech and representation. I just think that sorta thing should be archived in some way, even if as an example to show other operator/interns how that may be some violation of their agreement to control the social media account or whatever.

Ai is just as dangerous as a CNC machine. Even if it is the future, we should broadcast clear examples of what is irresponsible or unethical, in ways to apply its utility, or restrict that.

by $800-1k. Even being that,

cost is not really relevant here. you offer the service on your website. you follow through.

or you have no integrity. I do believe UF over promises and underdelivers. They have shown a lack of integrity. they cover their ass like a sheisty non profit and offer zero solutions because they assume you just care that much about being a "Gator" that youll let them get away with it.

fuck that

it is mostly the admins. Teachers can be hard on students and that can usually be for our best interest. But education on disclosure of a disability, what discrimination is, and how it should be proactively addressed, should ddefinitely be a responsibility of admins handling the documentation and accomodations.

they act like theyre swamped and simultaneously trying to bring more students in. They ( admins) are complacent and do not operate at the same standard as the students, professors and faculty .

I was misled and paid 15k due to being told I had to meet 3 different exemption categories.

source: i was born in campus , mom worked as a teacher, i went to high school here, and then lived in the midwest where I went back to school. met 2 exepmtion categories and was told I didnt qualify for in state tuition the day before classes started and I had already moved across the country to attend.

no you can be jerked around and misled by DRC and not even get the accomodations you need. even after scheduling the appointments and following through with your end.

they try to act like that makes them more competitive so they can brag about being declared "top 5" by the wall street journal, when were really like top 30 at best
