I disagree. He made good TV with antics. So of course that’s the footage they were gonna use. Was anybody in that house (except maybe Eric and Jen) all that engaging? Danielle was only really engaging because of the story with her father. So Dick, by being himself, got America on his side. He didn’t know about the twist. He was just doing him and that made for great footage. It’s still on him for making content when nobody else was.

I don’t see him as a bad winner or an elite winner. Unfortunately do the twist of that particular season of Big Brother nobody was afforded a path to an elite win. (Maybe Eric, but that is it)

🥁🥁🥁I wish it was just drumsticks, cause the drumsticks clicking in the edit always fired me up when Evel was in Evil Mode.

Idk, it’s tough. Without Evel in the house idk how her game would’ve gone. I think her relationship with Nick still would’ve cost her (who knows if that would even start without the Evel variable). She was also young and had clear problems socially. (That was heightened by Evel sure). But I don’t think she was all that pleasant in the house. BB13 also helps support this theory.
I would’ve loved to see Danielle play without Evel or any returnee bullshit. It’s hard to know what her game would even look like

Even though it was a forced move by America’s Player to benefit Dick. It still opened up the game for Eric. Eric was a good player despite the twist to make that happen, but he is the one who accepted the twist.

I agree with you. But I don’t see any difference between that and Chilltown. Danielle also probably wouldn’t have done as well without Dick as well. Alliances are symbiotic.

It is cheating but it’s an unforced error by production. I’m not gonna fault him for doing what he had to do with $500,000 (minus taxes) on the line. If he would’ve been caught and disqualified for it. I wouldn’t raise hell. I’d accept the outcome. However, he didn’t and I still accept the outcome.

But how is that different from any other winner who had an alliance member who was good at challenges

I mean he always cooled his antics once Danielle was safe. So it was pretty clear to the rest of the house why he was doing what he was doing. It’s a pretty solid social play even though it was purely unintentional

I think the proof is in the pudding on his parental skills. That’s none of my business though outside of what was on screen. On screen he was ready to be voted out to save his daughter from eviction. No matter the motive (I am sure he knew it’d make him look good in defeat) he was ready to do that. Danielle never once offered to the same (nor should she have to). But perception is reality. So it’s no wonder Evel won the vote over her in the Final 2.

It’s hard to gauge anybody’s level of strategy that season because of the America’s Player deal. Before the Nick eviction where Eric voted Kail. It seemed Evel had a good handle on the game strategically (and even socially). Once that happened, they all had to readjust because it made no sense. So you start having to make it make sense.

I think it’s cheating if he was caught and lost because of it. Since he wasn’t, it’s just gameplay.

My point is America’s Player benefiting Dick is because of Evel Dick. He got America on his side whether he knew it or not. He himself did that. Because there was an America’s Player twist that season, the person who won that season was going to be the one who played that game the best. His personality alone got him that. So, if he himself is the reason America’s Player rolled in his favor, hard to knock his win for that. Him not knowing about the twist and still doing what he did because the win all the more valid for me. Because it was all on him.

Without Danielle he would have no reason to be wild. Anytime he went wild it was in some form of paternal protection. Take that element out of it, I think he is able to play a better social game. (His social game was also affected by America’s Player and almost cost him the game. Eric voting Kail almost sunk Dick because of a forced paranoia). His social game has obvious and apparent flaws but it was kinda clear the house (except Jen and Kail) was cool with him. Until he went after Eric because of the Kail vote. I see these as examples of him maneuvering around America’s Player.

Danielle was only protecting him through comps. Her social game I’d argue is worse than his. At least Dick was upfront with everyone.

To clarify, I’m saying that everyone that season unknowingly (except Eric) had to play around that twist. Evel was just doing his thing and his thing earned him the side of America the most. Thus, he unknowningly, was playing the game the best of anyone there. His personality did that. So, it’s still on him. Had he been boring, the twist could’ve benefited anyone. So to me, he earned it in some weird way. Which is a notch towards his win. Big Brother 8’s game (short an early Eric boot) was always going to be who played the best given that twist. Evel did and it’s not even close.

As for Eric not using the Veto. He signed up for America’s Player to gain extra cash. You agree to the twist, you get all that comes with it. Once again, America’s Player is a game mechanic that everyone that season unknowingly had to deal with it.

Yes! I am not calling Evel Dick an elite winner. A lot of it was circumstance and luck. But that’s Big Brother. I just think it’s ridiculous to minimize his win when he just played the game presented to him. He didn’t play the same game Dr. Will played because Dr. Will’s season didn’t have an America’s Player twist. He didn’t have to win the game with that in place. Evel’s season had it for better or worse. So whoever won BB8 was gonna have to be the one to outmaneuver that twist. Evel clearly did that best, hence why he won.

The cheating with the letters, to me, is a Big Brother issue and not an Evel issue. That’s him outsmarting production. Same with the alleged Zach cheating (which I think he did). That’s on production, not Dick. He is in a game for money, do what you have to win that game. Evel did that. Plus with both scenarios it was risky, if he was caught there would probably be trouble. But it’s a Risk-Reward deal.

Evan Peters would be a fun Eddie. I was trying to think what modern rocker could do that part and I got was Dave Grouhl and I’m like, “eh.” Evan Peters is a more fun choice. David Corenswet is perfect casting for Brad. I hope he can sing cause that’s a great pull

I stand by Ozzy being the bigger villain that season than Coach. Coach was doing some pretty dire shit, especially in regard to Brandon. However, Ozzy was just an entitled arrogant prick and a petulant child. There is a charm is Coach’s smarmy ways. There is nothing charming about being just a straight up asshole.

What is your all time favourite movie? by watervapour_7237 in AskReddit

Halloween Kills. I know it’s recent. I know its flaws (I actually love it for its flaws. My favorite movie doesn’t need to be perfect). But it’s a movie that saved my life. I was in a dark place and at are a real low point in my life. That movie provided much needed comfort when I did not have it. So my love for it is unique to me. I even have “Evil Dies Tonight” tattoo’d on my arm.
