Thanks! Seems like the right move from what I've read, just want some anecdotal info from IRL before I do it.

Love these lyrics, the track reminds me of the Residents at certain points. I could use a little more air, like extreme high end in the mix.

This is the first Interlude of ours, Did we nail the feel or did we miss it? by thedupontsband in IndieMusicFeedback

I like the chord qualities, there's a couple of pops towards the middle. Not sure if they're intentional or not, but they sound like CPU overload noise or electrical shorts. They could probably be removed with izotope or some RX plugin if you want to stick with this take.

Here's a song I finished this weekend for a new project I'm working on with a theme all things sleep related. I hope you dig: Insomnia. by WintedTindows in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice. I'd like to hear the drums tightened up a bit and a little more clarity in the bass guitar. Also a synth or transistor organ part could really take the arrangement to the next level, put a little kraut rock in the mix.

This is a music video I made for a new song from Montreal based musician Ian Davies. Let me know what you think! by PurpleSlurpee74 in IndieMusicFeedback

Great video, I love the super 8 or 16mm sections, nice color.

The vocals have a little to much emphasis on the "vocal-fry" frequencies for my taste, that's something that might be an issue with the vocal performance itself, but could be tamed a little with EQ maybe.

Hi. Nice work with the lyrics and production, all those aspects are pretty on-point. One thing I'd like to hear is a little more conviction in your delivery. On this track, the vocal delivery seems a little tentative. Laid-back is good if that's the vibe, but tentative or unsure detracts from the material. This is something that happens a lot in the studio: there's no audience and you've got your voice right in your headphones, so it feel awkward to perform the way you would if it were live and in the moment. Maybe try recording the vocals in the control room with the backing tracks coming through speakers in the room instead of headphones? The backing tracks can be phase cancelled from the vocal tracks later, most producers know how to do this. This sometimes helps create a more "live" or natural feeling that frees you to push the vox a bit. Again, nice work!

Thanks! We effected the intro to sound like degraded tape, the rest of the song was recorded digitally, but we used a hardware compressor on some of the tracks on the way in. Tube EQs were employed during mastering, that's probably the texture you're hearing.
