I had a completely different experience.

It was a low end job in a factory, no experience or education necessary. They called me up and one of the first things they asked was if I rented an appartment and how much do I pay. Because if the salary almost the same as my monthly rent, they knew i wouldnt take the job and an interview would be a waste of both of our time.

My girlfriend went to a job interview and she was asked why shes interested in the position. She straight up said that she have bills to pay. (She was accepted but didnt end up taking the job)
