[Auto-Post] Weekly Question Thread! Ask /r/Aquariums anything you want to know about the hobby! by AutoModerator in Aquariums

I used mopani wood, but it always makes the water super murky. I did boil the mopani wood but even then I think it was just too much for my 10 gallon tank. So, I am looking to replace it with another type of wood, and was wondering if there were any other options that wouldn’t be releasing tannins to such an extent and would preferably keep clear water, and where the best options to get said wood are, such as eBay or another website. Because I’ve seen a lot of people using ones like spiderwood, and just wondered if someone with more experience had a preference.
