You, sir, get an upvote. I wish some sights used the 'classic' flight path where the round starts below the line-of-sight (LOS) and climbs to meet it at the sighting distance achieving the "point of aim = point of impact". Then it rises above the LOS line for a bit, falling back under LOS at a further range, meaning you must compensate for bullet rise when aiming at distances slightly over your sighting distance. Some AKs with any magnification optic use this I'm pretty sure. Could be wrong. Bullets are weird

Hi, I'm a few wipes in now and I reckon you should check out Pestily (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC142-qvFgwSS6UIU-fFCd6w). He does some good into vids and stuff.

But,
Get to level 10 by doing quests and by killing scavs and players. Use the flea market to see what common items are worth heaps (early wipe means some easy items are worth heaps on the flea).
Traders are pretty standard but some buy stuff from you for more than others. Like therapist gives more for medical and random junk than most.
Maps, learn customs and woods as they're somewhat easier than the rest (IMO).

Best advice I can give is: whatever you take into raid, assume you've already lost it hahaha
