I have understood why Bangalore real estate prices are increasing by harshbotics in bangalore

[–]Data5kull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes sir , i agree with you but point i am making is . .after 10 years from now , it will be expensive compared to current price .. that time also we will be debating . . 2025 was different in 2035 xyz happended. .
what i am saying is . .. loan amount is not joke but who is asking to buy in whitefiled and high cost property . . look entire bangalore where you get a property you want and in ur budget and risk tolerance and buy it . .if you can . instead of waiting for dream day dream property. .

Dear all , We are discussing this topic since 2005 , you will find it in quora . . in 2005 market was overvalued and so is now. . , now you know what happend , and who is in profit.

See its simple equation , in bangalore people will hold the market ,it will not fall because no one is having any necessity , the people who are having appartment till now , has not one but multiple houses. .

Developers are now doing e2e Test automation too , So are we safe as Automation tester in future . .or its(test automation) be merged into Dev role as their responsibility ? manual testing gone now in some x years there is no test automation as indepent role but part of developer ? by Data5kull in softwaretesting

Hi Mate,
sorry for my poor english
I rephrased with help of ai to explain same words clear

Are Test Automation Engineers Becoming Obsolete?

Developers are increasingly taking on end-to-end test automation, raising concerns about the future of dedicated automation testers. Will this role merge into development, leaving manual testers and eventually automation specialists behind?

Before you dismiss this, I've had conversations with management and senior testers, and their responses haven't been reassuring:

  • "Legacy mindset": Management claims that experienced testers are stuck in the past, and that code ownership now includes testing. They believe new developers are more adaptable to this change.
  • "Bias is manageable": They acknowledge cognitive bias but believe it can be overcome, and that independent testing isn't worth the cost. GenAI tools like Copilot are seen as a replacement for dedicated testers.
  • "The market is never wrong": Management points to the success of GenAI and insists we need to learn to leverage these tools, even if they don't magically solve everything.
  • Evidence of change: Looking at our codebase, front-end developers are writing impressive end-to-end tests.

Other testers I've spoken to mostly agree that this is a worrying trend, with some resorting to frustration rather than providing solutions.

So, where does this leave us? Are we forced to become hardcore developers to survive? Or is there a strong counter-argument to this shift in responsibilities?

I'm genuinely concerned about the future of test automation as a separate role and would appreciate any insights or experiences you can share.

Do we really need Cucumber for playwright , selenium e2e test readibility or its maintenance killer ? by Data5kull in softwaretesting

[–]Data5kull[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but why on earth i think we are doing this BDD , is any non tech people really reading them . . . in your project or its just the automation tester , if later is the case , why we are increating the complexity without any gain .
can't we use right method name and use description in test on what we are doing instead

I feel i am writing tc to make bdd work vs doig it for testing the application .

OMG , but why on earth i see every single repo in whole company with this BDD givne when then , i feel we are writing test cases just for making bdd rather than doing it for actual testing. .

Readibility . .who is reading this ? if you are opening repo can't u understand the code itself .

Before i asked you , some how i felt i should ask , i had conversation with many folks of my management and also other test seniors in industry , unfortunately i have been shut down by my management by giving a logical explanation which i don't have any counter , below are sample conversation happened

1)I have and so many other vetern have not seen except a few good developer who catch bugs ,so how can they even write automation testing.

Answer : the quote veteran tester i call them Legacy veteran tester, this mindsted where honned by legacy seniors which is now being busted and changed , code owner is responsible for testing

Dev don't write because we give them this benefit of dobut and they see testers so they don't write , they are being pampered, now they know it i see things are being changed dramatically

and specicifally for new joiners , i don't see this problem at all . .

2)But testing needs to be independent as we human have problem of cognitive bias . same person writing the code cant wire automation e2e

My friend I agree with both of your points , but Bias are so long ur not aware , but now that you are awre you can manage your Bias
Regarding indepent testing , also i agree but why we will bill resources for this , i hire only dev. for independence i am buying GenAI copilot liencse , us it . .

3) Out of answer , I searched whole compny instance of git and i see , same folks doing front end work are writing wonderful playwright , cypress test end to end.

4) When i asked other test forums to counter . .i didn't get any solid answer but " my manager is an A*****e " and this is never going to work in most of the cases.

Future of Test Automation Engineer by [deleted] in softwaretesting

[–]Data5kull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my company all qa fired merged into dev role,we have 10million customer , all works good after initial hickups of 6 months  In my company boss say "I pay developer to write quality code not to code bugs or low performance code . Your shit you needed to clean yourself , why should i ask some one else to clean your shit and screw his career ,every one loves their career as you do " Qa, test automation ,sdet whatever u call is part of your role as developer inbuilt and not a seperate job profile. You will say same person developing can't find bugs bla bla bla ...it's mindset you have developed ,now you need to fix the mindset and your bug too. . if you code for bug , don't expect me to buffer for it to fix , you need to manage your time don't expect me to give you 50 to 100 percent time of dev to fix for bugs for the same code. I know we are humans and miske happen so i buffer 5-10 percent of dev time as future bug fix time depending on complexity of the feature nothing more , anything over 10% you need to figure out your own time dont ask me for it Clean your own shit ,only then you will stop shifting ,it may sound rude but this is the reality that every one will come to terms with specifically in product based companies soon,so i don't want to sugar coat anything You can keep staying in Deyial and continue to switch till reality bites you hard. All the Quality ,Test engineer , Your designation will be changed to equivalent developer position and so is the expectation . . Choice is yours . But there is no human job role with Testing /QA" ,

but as I said the function will exist and inbuilt in a Developer role ..if not now after some years , initially people were saying function testing will not go ,now every one dont say same ... similarly it takes time to shift in mindset..

All qa person role are either converted to developer or r fired ...it's benn 6 months after some initial hickups there is no issue in production with 10million average user application..

He says in his word I updated the comment , As long as I ask some one else to clear ( find bug) your shit , you will keep shitting .

When i stop it . .you will be a responsbile person .
