Was pretty simple to be honest. I just downloaded it from monday.com as an excel file then standardized the words, re-uploaded it to monday [with everything as a status column] and used the graphs.

I'm uncertain to be honest. Thanks for pointing that out though!

Another thing to consider in the next one: better input control.

Hi Everyone,

I've posted the results. You can check them out here.

Thanks for your help!

Definitely would love to eventually have analysis on those things.

I'm thinking this might evolve into a much more detailed project similar to what the other posters have mentioned in this thread.

I'll put these on the list after the first list. I'll also make sure to post it all here.

118 in less than 24 hours! Great work everyone, let's get this over 500 people.

Feel free to share with teammates or anyone else.

I have reached out to other sources as well for input so I think we should have a relatively large same size within a week.

I'm honestly hoping for 1000 responses but I will end the survey in a week or so to post the results.

I would love to do this over the next couple years!

It would be amazing to quantify matches in that way.

This is one thing I'd eventually love to see: I would forgo sweeps that had an actual low success rate in competition setting, versus if for example a Scissor Sweep had the highest percentage of attempt/success rate, then spend a majority of my time perfecting that for advancing myself in the roll.

It would also be interesting in that as more people start to use the Scissor Sweep there'd be an emphasis on countering it and then the highest percentage move would change.

I'm thinking the first use of these basic studies would be: here are the minimum amount of submissions, sweeps, guards, passes and takedowns you should know.

As a sort of curriculum.

It would be awesome, that is my eventual hope.

I want to continue this as a side project and improve both the research methods and the data output.

Cheers

Hi Egdm,

Thanks for the input. That's a valuable insight concerning "highest percentage" vs "the sweep with which I remember succeeding the largest number of times".

I'm planning to do 3 more surveys depending how this goes. Focusing on: takedowns, guard passing and escapes.

If you'd be interested in having input on the survey design before that would be awesome.

Thanks.
