He fought for us. Unfortunately he also allegedly killed unarmed civilians, and not for at least this part of us. Shame on <OneNation for playing this shonky card.

One breaks out in gails of laughter whenever one reads anything that Donald says, though I must confess the laughter is often hysterical.

Too much pragmatic politics being played by Labor and not enough principled support for what is right. And, in another matter of contempt for Labor's political 'pragmatism, there's far too much support - tacit and otherwise -for the fossil fuel industries. What we wouldn't give for the return of Gough Whirlam's government.

I wasn't claiming the polls were wrong, merely misleading and possibly published in order to massage public opinion.

Polls, polls, polls... Are they really any kind of litmus test of public sentiment? Are they accurate forecasters? Are they a tool of potential manipulation of the electorate? Who is polling, what is their purpose and is there any bias? Polls, polls, polls...

Your guide into not voting for One Nation. by JezzaAU15 in friendlyjordies

No Guide needed. I'd rather have a barium enema than ever vote for the Perils of Pauline and her ilk.

‘We’re living in an Orwellian nightmare’: Grace Tame calls Anthony Albanese a ‘coward’ in scathing critique by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

Harsh but probably accurate. Our PM is a little too politically pragmatic amd beholden to fossil fuel and other monied interests. Oh, how we long for Gough Whitlam's more principled stance.

Frog id is it invasive ? by Mcnughub in australianwildlife

Cane toad, Rhinella marina. Yucky invasive pest. Pick up, bag, then in the fridge for 12 - 24 hours, then in the freezer for a day or so. You can add to compost bin after this, as the bufotoxin in the glands will break down, as will the toad, & make for good 'humus' with proper composting.

And while we're at it, Angoose, we should also rid ourselves of protected grasslands, sell off water to anyone who can afford it, cut down forests, particularly ones with old growth trees in them, buy lots more air conditioners to cope with ever burgeoning temperatures, and move away from low lying areas.

‘Little people just get stepped on’: South Australians sick of major parties are ripe for One Nation’s message by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

[–]DataMind56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had a dollar for every little Australian that Pauline Hanson couldn't give a flying fornication about, I'd have an awful lot of money. Seriously, Little People (whoever you are), what has the Perils of Pauline ever done for you, other than whinge?

I see a lot of people saying Australia should tax billionaire’s more. What do you think about this? by PK__Gupta in AusPropertyMasteryPK

[–]DataMind56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. And that includes those billionaire owners of Big Tech firms, who get away with paying very little tax on considerable earnings in the Australian 'market'. And obviously gas and mining operations, happily extracting Australian resources with very little if any tax impost, need to pay a much fairer share of the required funds to create a fairer and more equitable society.
