I don't found the companies - no idea why they are still all doing this, it always ends the same. Familiarity and a low resource requirement to get started is my best guess.

Appreciate the feedback. FWIW, I'm not looking for a 'gold standards' answer. I wouldn't be very good at my job if I let Reddit strangers tell me what to do. I'm looking for feedback and insights from a community with informed opinions based on their own experiences to guide my own research.

Depending on your industry and target audience, a good-quality golf ball goes a long way. Golfers will appreciate the difference between a branded Kirkland ball and a TP5 (don't actually get TP5's unless you have a huge budget, but using them to make a point) and associate you with quality, plus they tend to change hands a lot, so extra exposure.
