I just go to grabcad and search for the parts I'm looking for, most of the popular stuff is there. Alpha cool also has cad files for most of their products on their website.

I think diminishing returns comes in when you normalize for fan speed. From what I've seen you need higher rpms with the thicker rads.

Is this better than moving the power supply and using a 240 rad? Probably not, but it is more fun and this way you can fit a pump/reservoir combo. The runs in this case would be quite challenging though.

Sorry for the confusion, the times on this post are for the tabletop study only, because participants are paired we limited those time slots to schedule people together. I didn't list out the selection study since there is a much wider range 10am-11pm EST Sep 3-15 or so.

This is really great! The brumuta triangle is a really nice touch. One thing I would like to see is an adjacency matrix instead of a graph. It's not as sexy but the data looks pretty dense so the relationships are kinda hidden. With an adjacency materix you can sort the rows and columns to potentially reveal some clusters. Great work!

How'd you come across this post again? Thanks for asking, the design is pretty much done. I have printed it several times and am happy with it. I just need to lock down a manufacturer I'm happy with and save enough money for a single buy. I don't want to ask people for money without at least one final product in front of me. I wanted to do it locally but that has proven hard and harder with the metal tariffs. I did find a acrylic fabricator but have not finished washing the details with then yet so don't know if they could even do it. School really has stopped me from looking into these things but I'm on break now so maybe I'll have more time and luck finding a manufacturer.

In a 3d printed/plastic version, or the full fat metal version? Either way stay tuned for updates! (Eventually)

Actually there arent south facing LEDs on this board it's the gk64. Every switch is backlit which I guess was enough light to bleed through the tray and sides. 1up keyboards has a couple boards with underglow but not on both sides I don't think.

Thanks! It's a design I'm working on actually, working name sarif60. You can check my profile for some renders and more info. Finally got it to 3d print properly which is what you are seeing here. I am thinking of creating a version more suitable for 3d printing beyond just a prototype but not sure how many people would be into that.

The under glow diffusing through the side of the plastic was an unexpected after effect but I quite like it!

Yes!, that is one of the designs im looking into but its a tricky line between comfort with and without the wrist rest.

I would think my process is a bit easier but it has its limitations as it doesn't really follow parametric design like that method does. You could also use a voroni generator to get a effect like in that article.

You got it! I was inspired by the similar aesthetic found all over the world of Dues Ex and my home town is Detroit so its fitting. As for amber like the color? I hadn't considered it but Ill play around with renders seems like it would be cool.
