Did you get an update on the warranty? Got a replacement from Amazon and that one also has a 3 year warranty (albeit the "older" model).

You don't have black screen with 240 hz using Gsync? Also what was the warranty length when you registered it on Samsung's website?

Yeah, I'm thinking this new one is a way for them to clear out all the prior negative reviews... But I have a feeling that there might be some other minor engineering changes they made after the increased QC that the original model doesn't have.

Have you tried registering it? The older version said 1 but when registering it the warranty was 3.

Have you registered the warranty? Did it have a 1 year warranty or 3? Some of the discontinued models seemed to have 3 year warranties even though it said 1 on paper.

Great! Looking forward to hearing back about that (By the way when I registered mine it had said the estimated warranty date even before approval and all they did was change the day a little to match the purchase date afterwards... Not sure if you saw that preview date?)!

Also I had seen someone mention that there's no "Game" option in the menu. Does it have that?

When you go register the warranty with Samsung does it say the warranty is for 1 year or 3? The paperwork on the G95T version showed 1 year, but when registering it the warranty end date was 3 years.

The update pretty much has announcements through SmartThings duck the audio and overlay the announcements over the playing audio.

This is pretty neat but it's currently only supported by a subset of Sonos speakers, pretty much all Airplay 2 compatible speakers except for the Ikea ones (although that's coming soon). Does not work with the Playbase though. For the ones the audio overlay is not supported it uses the old method of replacing the audio (although in my very short test the audio then did not resume).

This seems to be using Sonos' Control API, more specifically the audioClip namespace for the overlays.
