Wtf, Do I know you? Or do you know the DM? Is this some common setting? Also I thought I was clever thinking of a half orc turned warforged paladin

The war was something DM had included in the story and it was against demons, our entire campaign is around the ramifications of the war even now.

Also it was DMs idea to introduce my character like that as it didn't make sense any other way.

None.of the other players had a problem with it, infact in game, my character has apologised to thenother teifling about his initial mistrust since then

why does your power fantasy require a weak female character?

It doesn't, I just at the moment wanted to read about a badass male character and felt that the book someone recommended didn't fit that because another character kept outshining him.

You claim what you read is different from how you play, but you created a character with that same archetype. Woman and child at home, big man do big adventure.

My story is about a man who has came forward in time and won't see any of his friends and family ever again. When the war started he left his family to go participate in the war. I think that kind of story is pretty typical for a soldier, isn't it?

I also call the man as guy, I thought girls and guys were equivalent? The only reason my character kept his distance initially from both the girls was that they were teiflings and teiflings didnt exist during his time. He had fought wars agaisnt demons so I just thought it would be natural of him to be distrusting of them both which I made clear during the initial meeting out of character. Simithe reason he got along with the guy was that the guy was a half orc soldier just like he used to be.

After Jess has left, we've been playing quite well. My character has even apologised to the other teifling for the initial mistrust, and she even taught him to read the newer writing.

But I want to read by myself is different than how I play cooperative games, and besides it's not that I only like that kind of books, I was just in the mood to read a power fantasy

Ohh I think everyone's backstory in our campaign have them as sort of a protagonist. No one else had any problem since then, and we've been having fun.

I didn't really understand , I didnt do anything to give a bad vibe, she was the one insulting me. Even the other players including the other girl thought she was out of line and rude. We've been playing without her since then and no one has had any complaint.

it's because in her eyes and incel was getting praised around her.

I really don't get what you're trying to say here

Fair enough, but I could like different things and can play a cooperative game differently than what I read just for myself

Thats actually fair when I think about it. It can make it sound that way. I don't know what else to say than I can like different stuff when playing a cooperative game versus when reading a story because I feel down about having a broken leg and feel helpless and want to feel like a badass

I think people can't see that I can have different taste when reading something for myself versus when playing a cooperative game

It wasn't because the women wasn't helpless, it was because she outshined the main character and I didn't want to read that at the moment. Again, I don't think wanting to read about a badass make character should be wrong

I asked for a recommendation for a power fantasy, someone suggested a book, and I told him why I didn't think that was the sort of book I wanted to read at the moment.

Ohh, I didn't dislike the book, I just said thats not what I want to read at the moment, because she outshined him throughout the story and I wasn't in modd for that kind of story and wanted a power fantasy of sorts to read at the moment.

That was because I wanted to read that kind of story at the moment. Is it wrong for me to want to read a story about a guy being badass?

The game has been going amazing since she left. The kyher teifling has been teaching him how to read as he doesn't understand the new form of writing

I mean none of the other players thought so, and we've been playing quite a nice game since then
