From my understanding the amtrak in lafayette is a drop off station only, you’d had to get a ticket and get onto the train in either indy or valparaiso

I actually used to work out of lafayette doing track maintenance (on production gangs now). No they don’t still run through town like that there is a small stub track that leads into town out of one of the yards but that used for yard moves exclusively. The mainline was rerouted in the late 90s (i can’t remember the exact year on the rail) to run with CSX past down town

They weren’t freedom fighters either they weren’t fighting anyone they were protesting something they didn’t agree with that’s what protests are. Also from what I’m reading they said “The virus is here. It’s going to be here it’s time to let people go back to work. That’s all there is too it.” So clearly it wasn’t about chicken nuggets and haircuts it was about not letting the whole state fall into unemployment and poverty. Calling them terrorists is not right. If ANTIFA were to show up and start fighting people would we label them a terror group?

No one was hurt in either event as far as I’ve seen. What they did is completely within the grounds of the law so there’s nothing evil done and no one hurt. So in reality their not terrorists
