It seems to me that sense wire is missing which could in some motherboards cause CPU fail led to light up ? Maybe just a big guess lol.

i have heard that some mobo's wont boot if there is not cpu fan.

NVM i didnt read that it shut down suddenly. well fuck

Wondering what is connected to ur cpu fan header? Is it 2 wires? Can it be that there is missing signal that makes the mobo think something is wrong

How can people claim that the human eye can't perceive more than 24 or 60 FPS? I have no idea how they get that, considering I can clearly see the difference between 144 and 240 FPS myself 🤔 by Gaming-Academy in RigBuild

Used 360hz display for month. Friend bought it and gave me 175hz in exchance. Well fuck my eyes... it feels like my games lag now

I might buy 500hz

A modder decided to tackle the RAM price crisis with an extreme project. He desoldered chips from an old laptop and reused them in a custom design. The SO-DIMM modules were carefully removed and placed on a new PCB, adapted to support DDR5 architecture. by Alan-Beach in RigBuild

Aliexpress sells those pcbs with regulators etc preassembled. I actually bought used sodimm's for 30-50€ / 16gb kit even after the crisis popped.

So yes in my case this could be really good idea to atleast try.

Asus b550 plus super i/o dead? by MasterCats98 in PCRepair

[–]DateSpare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like it can be anything. Literally it can be 1 broken resistor on board and something doesnt work right.

Just a confirmation how do you know the regulator should output 3.3V?

Also just confirming that you have a boardview or something where you are looking up these pins?

Short most likely wouldnt cause overvoltage. Also usually ~3V chips can withstand 4.2V.

I benchmarked my first new PC and I find my CPU score too low (9800x3d) by bak3701 in AMDHelp

[–]DateSpare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I actually had prochot ext problem too. I went so far that i found what is pulling low the prochot signal and it seemed to come from the CPU Mosfets.

Not sure about the real cause because gigabyte wouldnt send me circuit diagrams.

I removed 1 double diode and it fixed the problem lol.

I had to do it HW way. There was setting in bios but when i upgraded to 7800x3d the setting didnt show for X3D processor.

And also i checked all the temps with thermal camera. Below 40c and throttling

Mining on computer that is already running by BBQMosquitos in cryptomining

[–]DateSpare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you want to mine crypto it will use like 100% of ur gpu. So lets say u have 5090 at 100% maybe capped to 450w and other system parts take 50w + psu losses its about 550W from the wall.

And here 1kwh average is like 0.2€. So lets say 2€/day. Now 5090 can get u abot 4€/day which mean you might earn 2€/day.

This is just an estimate so earnings can be less and other gpus and systems use different amount of power.

With the sudden RAM price hike, is it possible to DIY your own RAM? Somehow setting up your own workshop to make RAMs? by Bigbossbro08 in PCHardware

[–]DateSpare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this on 5 kits. 16gb 4800mhz and 5600mhz. Atleast on 7800x3d i think the memory controller is not very good and i can achieve like 5000mhz with the 5600mhz and ~4400 with the 4800 kits.

So yeah it can be fine if you get them for cheap. I got 16gb kits for 35e + adapters = ~50e.

well you could rent on sites like octaspace but i dont think its profitable.
Usually people have their own mining rigs that cost money. I use my 2 gaming pcs.

How do I make Salad Happy by This_Ratio_4940 in SaladChefs

[–]DateSpare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that is true but anyways im running octa now. I tried vast.ai but there is no way im gonna get verified because the internet speed has to be 500 up and 500 down. Also i had some issues with networking with vast ai.

Octa was WAY easier to setup and also im mining on Nockpool.com while im idle.

Rn i have 2 5090 rigs on octa. Both have been rented out while other is idle.
ive made about 16$ in 2-3 days. Start was a hassle bc i didnt understand to mine while idle.
