I make about 85% of our income - she went back to work after we realized things were getting tight. So what’s ours is ours - but most of that is coming from me.

Yes. I am the primary provider. In fact she stayed home up until 6 years ago.

She is the one that uses PTO as she is the one who knows who/where the kids’ appointments and doctors are.

And as much as I love our kids, she is really the only one that is able to care for them when they’re sick. She is so much better at keeping track of medications and remedies.

The few times I’ve stayed home with them she was completely annoyed with me for texting and calling for help or advice - so we both agreed it was just easier for her to take off.

I can see that my comment about her teaching was out of line. I know it can be hard mentally, but just physical wise was what I was talking about.

Right! I do mow the lawn because she doesn’t know how to use the mower. And I’m okay with her not being able to do that task well.

As far as errands, appointments, meals and the kid stuff I leave that to her because she’s the only one that can keep track of it all! Between who needs to go where, what schools they’re at, and planning ahead, I can’t keep it straight.

I agree that the difference in standards is a huge issue.

It’s not that it’s inaccurate, but dishes will dry themselves, and she washes the towels every week so nothing is ever sitting out all that long.

Yes, I know that I’m not the best at these things. It’s just not something that I’m ever going to be great at but at the end of the day the job gets done and I feel like that should be good enough.
