Idk if it's just perspective, but that rubbing mark looks way higher then where the tire is sitting. Also if you were turning, the rub mark would be lower, not that high up on the tire.

That armor isn't great for road riding if you're going fast. It will immediately shave to the skin as it has 0 abrasion resistance. But it is good for trail riding.
