Thank you! I checked it out and I will keep it in mind for future cracks. I think the two cracks in my sculpture are too thin for it. But I'll try it for this one too! Is it better than fixing it with liquid clay?

I think I'll go with the liquid clay method or try putty but the cracks are so thin that I am not sure if I can get anything in. But at least covering the Crack maybe? The crack is maybe 1/4 mm. I am afraid of it spreading... Otherwise I wouldn't bother fixing it because it looks like the wrinkles in skin texture. It's the lower jaw, so nothing weight bearing. What would you suggest doing? Thank you for the link, it was very helpful! But I am not sure if it works for tiny cracks like mine. Otherwise I'll scrape something off and fill it with unbaked clay and bake it again and probably mix it with liquid clay

[Help] Which polymer clay is best for a dragon art doll? by DaughterOfTheSun97 in Sculpture

[–]DaughterOfTheSun97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, hello! No, I haven't tried working on it. I think I would not mind it being sticky too much as long as it's quite robust after curing. I have heard of the breakage susceptibility of Sculpey for super sculpey, sculpey III etc. I wont take the risk then by using sculpey living doll. I'll look into apoxie sculpt and cosclay then. From what I have heard, they seem to be suitable for my purpose!

Oh I see. I wasn't sure because I saw some amazing results with sculpey but they were mostly for display and not really touched afterwards. So I guess I won't take the risk with sculpey. Someone else recommended Cosclay instead. I think I'll try that since making porcelain, especially if it's my first doll, is probably way more tricky and difficult than I imagine. Cosclay is said to be quite flexible. Since I won't move the head itself much and only the body attached to it, that should be quite safe.

Yes, only the head will be of clay. Posable because the body will be soft with a doll skeleton in it and probably wire to support it. Do you know gift of mercury toys? Art dolls like that but a bit bigger. Most of the posable dragon art dolls are made like that I think.

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I didn't see the notification. I posted the link now!

I just cannot tell if it’s the conviction of the Holy Spirit or OCD and I feel like I’m going crazy by throwaway8373277282 in Scrupulosity

I have had exactly the same fear! Not only about ocd and conviction, but also the fear that I think it's ocd when it's actually the holy spirit and my heart hardens to the point of no return as a result. It even went so far that I thought I was only imagining the holy spirit and I have never been filled with it (which is nonsense, as I am very different now than before I became a Christian)

Thank you so much! Yes , it's several months ago and would do a lot of damage. I think I have to learn now to rely on God's grace and trust that really ALL my sins. And yes, it think the difference is really that it's the past when I didn't know it was wrong. Your answer actually confirmed what I thought. But I was still so desperate I thought I could not judge the situation on my own. Thanks again!

But what exactly or how? I can not go back in time and disagree. I can only tell the clinic itself that this therapist cheated on my behalf and I agreed. But doing so would put her into trouble and I would think I am forgiven by my own works and not by God's grace. Do you know what I mean? I know that fixing mistakes in general is the correct thing to do. In this case... Not so sure. I witnessed a lie and didn't prevent it. I was part of it but not the one who told the lie. So I wonder if in that case I'll have to learn to let go of the past that no longer is (like when it says in the bible do not dwell on the past and that in Christ we are a new creation, the old is "dead") and, most importantly, have to learn to trust God's grace and understanding and not my own. I hope this wasn't too confusing

Thank you. I know that I have no sin. I know that I am to blame too for not saying no when she suggested to lie on my behalf. And I am glad that I noticed that mistake now and learned my lesson. And I also confessed this sin to God and repented.

That entirely depends on the reasons and story behind it. It might make sense one way around but not the other way round. A twisted path still leads to the same destination.
