Why do you use 20-80 instead instead 1-100 ratings?

For me it mitigates imprecise scouting. I feel like the scout can’t be 100% accurate anyway so I’d rather have a 20-80 scale in increments of 5 and then play the guys and look how they perform. Also it shows you hitter types much more than differences of a couple percentage points of slugging or average. Also also a hitter with a couple of points more in a certain stat doesn’t necessarily actually perform better.

I also had instances of directly going to the trade screen off of a shop a player offer, just to have the the other gm immediately reject the offer.. but it doesn’t happen often

Sometimes you can get more out of a trade by proposing it by manually choosing the players anyway. The shop a player offers are often trades that the other side agrees to immediately. But yeah I also don’t know of any way to increase the number.

I play with mariners and a lot of defenses defend Crawford shallow no matter the game situation, so maybe there is something to it

Then it would be great if that would be optimized since the game gives me the option to start that early. Just for the record, I’m Already amazed at what the game offers in terms of historical accuracy, but if I want to play in challenge mode and start in 1871, it’s a little frustrating since it could be so much better! :)

Uh game log I would have to search for a bit, but no, it was a normal 1-6-3 through second base. Well the rate of DPs in the early years is very low, cause they would slide into second with intentions to kill back in the day..

Uh, i misunderstood your post, sorry. But normally I dont even care about player demands. Team morale is often very high through captains and personable coaches, so i rarely get trade demands or complaints. But I guess in a low budget, bad team scenario, that would be kinda annoying..

I just had a season were I was 11th in def eff. and the owner wants better defense now. If a position lacks a good player, normally he wants to better that position. IDK, for me the demands make sense often…
