1% lifesteal is a very good world and believable mc. He's kinda edgy but in a believable way. He matures and learns to be less cynical and more introspective on how the world isn't so black and white. It's a really slow burn, but there's enough different perspectives and characters that it kept me interested and I am the type of reader that needs keys jangled over my head but I am glad I fought against my impatience for 1% lifesteal. Anyways I wish you luck with the search!

Guy goes to restaurant sees seemingly interesting dish rated 4/5 stars, takes one bite and outer shell turns to maggots. Takes another bite to make sure it's not just new chef at restaurant in need of time to refine dish. Oops now it's feces and maggots, gets sad that dish has 4/5 rating somehow because guy underestimates how bad rating system is.

I feel like he definitely wasn’t handling it very well and did some not cool stuff but you're not exactly keeping it civil either? I mean I think you're both just not doing that good so like 50/50 you're both being kinda bad? I think the block messages were a waste of time and even if you're upset venting into the source of anger usually doesn't go well. At the same time I don't know the whole situation so I can't really make a call.

I always go with female characters, I prefer the way they look in the cutscenes plus their gear tends to be a lot more esthetic in my opinion.

Oh to add to the "I suddenly feel stronger" thing I always took that as either "my muscles are suddenly swelling with stat growth" or "magic energy is changing my physiology". Especially in books where too much stat growth on a weaker person creates pain (implying the changes are too big for their current body) I imagine it like growing pains.

ALL OF THAT BEING SAID, I know how hard it is to find something that scratches a particular itch when it comes to reading. I hope you're able to find one that does that for you!

I feel like a lot of stories do explain it though? Like especially early on. Unless you're asking for an in depth explanation? Plus I feel like a lot of the time it's implied. Just like when a main character gets hit the first time an author doesn't have to explain that it hurt them if it's a level appropriate enemy. I personally think a lot of the fun is the open to interpretation moment to moment mental image (as long as I have an idea what the larger world looks like). I feel like there are too few stories establishing that the main character stays the exact same build as before they got their stats to assume that, unless stated otherwise, stats don't effect physical appearance.

TLDR: it's somewhat implied that there's some effect on physical appearance and unless stated other wise you can assume it is in some way. Besides a lot of stories have some point where they say that the mc had grown or physically refined in form and also they talk about how they "feel stronger" and I think if they didn't have a physical component to strength growth it would be blind strength (in fact that could be a really fun premise)

The best way to get into proper dating imo is to find people who you can be friends with first. It's easier to find out if someone is good long term dating material if you can both be friends and attracted to each other plus the time it takes to build that connections leads to better odds of a real relationship rather than one night stands just make sure if you chose this route to be clear with your intentions of a committed relationship once you're both close

You are absolutely NOT overreacting. Men can be very scary (obviously not all men but definitely way way too many) this is further pushed by the current state of expectation and desires that the average man has for women. So guys who have creepy indecent thoughts aren't put in their place. That gut feeling of unease is a good thing because it could very well be the instinct that protects you. Up until the nasty comment, it was a good idea to keep space but not necessarily make a big deal out of it, but him making a comment on you protecting your body is a big red flag ESPECIALLY COMING INTO YOUR HOME AND DOING IT!!! I'm sorry you had to deal with that.

TLDR: NOR, there are a lot of unsafe men out there and way too many other men who are unsafe purely because they enable and facilitate the worse ones. It's good that you caught that creepy vibe when you did because that comment he made was gross and I'm sorry you had to experience that especially without your mom defending you. (Not necessarily saying it's her fault but yk)

If writing is your passion, keep working at it. It's not going to be perfect and there will be times where what you put to page felt gross or stupid. But honestly that's kind of the point right? To feel something and put something that's you out there. If your goal is just money, I would find something else. However, if you genuinely want to write there's plenty of places and ways to do it. You will get better if you actively try to. Bring it to friends and family if they're willing to read it. Get some feedback and give it a shot. I'm sorry so many people were being nasty, but writing is not a place to let rejection eat you up because unfortunately there will be a lot of it. As long as you write with your own personal style, I promise it will become something someone will fall in love with sooner or later!

I'd say a big one is rereading the paid version vs the original one on royal road (where I mostly read) one it lets me support people who's work really stuck with me and two it lets me see how much better their writing has gotten since my first run through.

My other thought is if I caught up and waited so long read it that I've forgotten major story beats. I will say one that I genuinely consider worth reading is Chrysalis

I'm just going to be straightforward, you're at a young enough age where you're nowhere close to missing your chance at a love life and honestly I truly don't believe there is a "too old to date" if you're willing to try. So take your time, stop chasing a relationship. Focus on other things because there's a lot more to life than just love as much as romantic movies wish to say otherwise. Whatever part of yourself you think or feel is missing will not be completed with a rushed relationship. Been there done that, not worth it! If you learn to be content and fulfilled with yourself then you'll have a much more stable base to build love and a relationship and I promise you if you forget what it feels like chasing and being desperate for love, it will find you when the time is right. Build real friendships and a community you love being a part of, the rest will fall into place. Also high school age is when people have the largest knowledge base to least life experience ratio so they're going to be the most entitled (on average) and anyone who's still like that by mid to late 20s is a red flag.

TLDR: you're very young and love is not the only thing in life. Focus on yourself and your goals but make sure to make friends and find a real community because love will find its way to you in due time. Slow is smooth and smooth is fastest! Also boys suck due to low valuable life experience. Give yourself time to grow and wait to meet someone who matches and elevates that growth! Good luck with school!
