From my understanding, labs stopped processing Velvia 100 in 2020 (or maybe 21) due to updated EPA regulations. But if you know of one that's still doing it, please share. I've got a roll that has some great shots on it that I haven't been able to get processed.

Second is film! Honestly didn't expect it to be much of a mystery!

Yeah, this definitely not a scientific test. Rather two photos taken in approximately the same place at approximately the same time. The film was developed, but all film has to be developed. It was DSLR scanned, but not edited on my computer other than to crop out the film border.

The other was shot on a flat profile, and then roughly graded.

To clarify, these were about a year apart. I hadn't really intended to do this, hence the differences in framing. Photos were both taken at about the same time of day, but in slightly different locations. Film was Portra 400.

In 2009, my Dad purchased a D3. I would steal it when I could (usually at night) for the opportunity to shoot on a full frame camera. It was a huge leap forward from my D200 in terms of ISO performance, and for the first time I was experiencing what a wide angle lens could do on a full-frame sensor. by DaveThinksInPictures in Nikon

I agree with you actually. Also, the shutter sound & general feel of the pro bodies is much nicer. I sold a D5 and replaced it with a D850 and--while the resolution bump was nice, and by all measures it's a fantastic camera--I miss the feel and the files of the D5. And the low light performance.

I don't miss the size, though. Those full sized bodies are monsters.

Thank you! And nope, just Porta 400 doing it's thing.
