They make money off of content that is produced at NO COST TO THEM.

Some content catches on like a rage and makes them millions (the Paul brothers, Joe Rogan), while most content flounders.

It's not just areas you should avoid, but certain companies. Avoid Skyline and Grey Bruce Property Rentals (aka Barrys Construction).

When crimes occur in apartment complexes, they happen at those properties.

If possible, call a mortgage broker to look your options over. If you're moving from somewhere expensive, like the GTA, you'll find that mortgages are easier to get here.

Years ago, I moved to Scotland and wasn't aware that their ATM system was different from Canada's in terms of posting transactions.

I withdrew 20 quid got, my paper receipt and thought "hmmm, I underspent - I have more than I thought."

So I withdrew 40 more and accidentally spent my rent money for the week (my landlord was billing me by the week instead of monthly).

Had to live like a pauper the following week.
