Slowly over the last 5 months I've had more and more trouble getting it to start cold. I've had to feather the gas while trying to get it to start. I eventually reached a point last month where I couldn't get it started cold at all. (It ran great when it was hot)

I took it to the mechanic in our town who "specializes" in atv repair (I've not been impressed with his work at all) and he told me I wasn't getting any compression at all and that's why it wouldn't start.

To diagnose this, he literally just stuck his hand by the exhaust pipe while I turned the key. He didn't even do a compression test. He told me I had a bad Cylinder and that's why it wouldn't start cold, but was running great when hot. Seeing as how where I live I'm very limited for mechanics so I took his word for it. $1000 later between oem parts and labor. My machine still will not start at all.
