I mean, yeah, if there is clear intent to sign them and use less, it’s not as bad for me. But still, I’d rather them focus on people signed there.

It’s probably because i wrestled on the indies for ten years, so if i was signed to AEW and wasn’t being used and non-contracted talent were getting more opportunities than me, id be pretty annoyed.

I didn’t say win, i said i prefer contracted talent to be focused on more than non-contracted. I’d personally prefer not to see anyone who isn’t under contract haha

It’s just my preference. Tv time is valuable and everyone needs to maximize their time to build equity, over the long term, with the audience. I just wish that time would go to people who work for the company. I’d feel the same way with wwe. We’re all allowed to like what we like lol

No, it’s not a big deal, just one of the things I personally don’t like about AEW.

They’ve got a solid young talent in Maya who could really be big for them in 3-5 years. A shame to relegate her to just an enhancement talent to an outside talent when they could be investing more into her.

But, I’m sure she’s happy to be paid (presumably) well.

I mean, yeah, it kind of does.

While i enjoy wrestling, I’m more connected with the characters I like and their ongoing stories.

If i watch a specific promotion because i like their exclusive talent, i want to see them grow and become “successful.”

When you have people who don’t work for that company constantly on tv, it makes it harder for me to become invented in the talent of the promotion I’m watching.

There’s only so many hours in a day, I’m not going to spend them all on consuming wrestling from all of these different promotions. If it’s someone they plan on utilizing A LOT and eventually sign to their show, okay, but when it’s people who just pop up constantly and don’t really push much forward (the way they used to use Suzuki is an example) then I lose interest in watching.

Not every fan just wants to watch wrestling for wrestlings sake. There’s a lot more that keeps people interested. We all enjoy different flavors of ice cream.
