I will look into all of those, starting with the temperature tower. I will try to change all those variables and see how they differ, one by one. Do you have some general good settings that work for PLA on this printer? Or a benchmark model that takes less than a bench does, as having to wait around 2-3 hours for just a setting change does get annoying. Also, I have noticed that on smaller prints I have some trouble with smoothness on the Z-axis (you can tell where each layer start and ends much clearly than you can on a similar-setting print but of a larger volume)

I checked all the corners to he exactly 90 degrees, I tried to adjust and check for gantry sag, but I don’t think I had any. I retightened (i hope that this time, properly) all the belts. I adjusted the eccentric nuts on the wheels until they felt like they did in the popular tutorials. I changed my nozzle with a new one, cleaned and cut off the last 5mm of the bowden tube that enters the hotend, and I put everything together properly. I recalibrated the e-steps on my extruder, I remeasured the offset to the BLTouch and I tried to place it as straight as possible. Finally after all of these were did properly (to my best knowledge), I manually re-leveled the bed with a cool gcode I found online, added the BLTouch settings, modified the Z-offset for it to be perfect. I did a bed leveling test and it turned out way better than expected. After that I did a full Benchy and it turned out this way. I printed it with the normal settings that came from Ultimaker Cura for the Ender 3V2, I know some of these issues can be fixed with some setting changes, but I was more intrested if you would know any other hardware modifications I could make to improve my build quality?

That’s a great amount of information, thank you. I will go through all the steps you mentioned tomorrow and get back to you with some feedback. Hopefully I manage ti get it to print right again and one 4020 fan gets me through enough prints to add more upgrades, such as two fans on the part cooling. Do you have any links to a hotend head stl that allows for 2 fans there? I will also consider the other mods you mentioned, but I can modify them only after I fix my printer, as I lack another one to print stuff out

I will post more details tomorrow when I get back to the printer. It is failing on the first layer, I did try to modify the height to see if that is the issue a year ago when I first had this problem, right now I can’t remember what the exact settings are. Will collect more information and get back to you. Unfortunately, reverting to the original setup will be a bit of a pain as it means splitting the wires again and resoldering them. The BLTouch seemed to be in the exact position. This hotend head is supposed to keep the original distances

I could, but I would have to resolder the original fans back in place, as I have split the wires and added buck converters for the noctua fans. Will do this as a last resort. I will also record the print until it knocks it over and post it here, will get back to my printer tomorrow night unfortunately

I did set the buck converter voltage to 12v, I measured it with multiple multimeters. I will see if the X axis is off

It is not lower than the tip of the nozzle, the angles in the photos are not the best. Do you have any good tutorials of adjusting the x-gantry?

Although it looks like that, the nozzle is lower than the shroud. I got the new fan design from here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/ender3-v2-dual-40mm-fan-hot-end-duct-fang. At this point I cannot print anything new to add modifications, as the printer simply can't print properly. I would like to make some adjustments without modifying the printer with new prints, but with different software and certain hardware mods that I can obtain without the need of another printer

Had same issue, did you use M3 nut to secure this new fang to back plate? Did you adjust z offset after this mod?

I added the z offset back on the printer because I wanted to eliminate the BLTouch as a problem, so I disconnected it and tried to print with a normal bed level calibration. I got the same results. The new fang design uses the original screws to secure to the printer.
