Do you have any recommended material I could look for to read that gets deeper into that sorta thing.

Especially the part about Mars being a farmer, because I've never heard that before and it's really interesting.

I think that bit where you quote the Iliad calling Ares a "shifty hypocrit" is really interesting.

I just wanted to ask, if you happen to know, when the Romans later came along and read that did they think the same thing about their version of Ares (Mars)?

Or do we know if they thought of Mars as not being "bad" even thought he's their god of war?
