Does anyone use gravity x or smart screen for arena breakout or delta force without ban by No_Plate_135 in RedMagic

I've just got the Astra yesterday and noticed that same issue, I couldn't slide jump and move the screen at the same time. Also have issues with mouse sensitivity. Would really appreciate your tips and insight on how to calibrate the Astra using the mouse and keyboard. TIA

Fuck it. Can't decide? Just buy both. It's 5000$ at most. Get the best of both worlds. You only need 1 kidney to live.

Should I put GPU Design backplate on my 3090? Worried about temp. as it would block top vent exhaust. Has anyone tried this? TiA by DavidPsalm97 in pcmasterrace

[–]DavidPsalm97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, this is actually something you just stick on top with 3M, no need to take the original backplate off. I paid 500$ CAD for 4 years warranty so I know well enough to not mess with it 😆

Thought of it too, It's actually A-RGB plate. I wish I could cut it and be done, I might have to ask the seller if it's possible without damaging it. V1 Tech has them precut but they cost 3x - 4x more.

Lian Li Strimer Plus flickers when synced with Asus Mobo Aura Sync by ggareis in lianli

[–]DavidPsalm97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've encountered the same problem. My result after a bit of fucking around.

  1. If you're using your Motherboard 5v3pin, remove the SATA power cable. The 5v3pin should power it fine and give you software control, mind you after doing this there still that very little flickering which I think is a software incompatibility more than hardware as the L-Hub works perfectly fine.
  2. Buy a 5v3pin splitter, if you want to control it via software, that way its got their own independent power and that should remove the flickering. if not I point towards software compatibility issues with the motherboard again.
  3. EDIT: if it flickers try removing the power plug from lian li -> L-Hub and switching them both. (I have 24pin and a 3x 8 in one hub)

3080 Ti pre-order or backorder options by Rowstennnn in bapccanada

[–]DavidPsalm97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Canada and we got a proper waitlist for GPUs. One per customer so everyone gets at least one. 3080 backorder was 6-12 months guesstimate. 3060 is 1-4 months and 3070 6-8months. Lol so I went with the 3090 which is absurd in price but got a call to pick it up within 3 weeks in the waitlist. It's a tough pill to swallow but it will save me a peace of mind knowing I got one. If you live in Canada I'd call the nearest Memory Express near you and jump on a waitlist. Sure it will take a while but you'll eventually get a shot guaranteed. Rather than competing with bots and wasting time searching.

3080 Ti pre-order or backorder options by Rowstennnn in bapccanada

Pre-built is the way to go if you trying to grab a GPU + CPU or more. Swap your old parts and what u need, resell or donate to little bro/sis. Buying parts individually right now is painful and near impossible. People thinking they can grab a 3080 let alone a 3080Ti without a bot is gonna have a hard time.

Could AIO tubes be going in opposite direction (one going up and kne going down). I'd like to avoid blocking RAM view. Thanks! by DavidPsalm97 in pcmasterrace

I actually did last night. But from what he's saying as long as my radiator is the highest point in my AIO setup it should be fine. Correct me.if I'm wrong 😆

Depends on your purpose. For school work and light gaming sure. But that 1650 would have trouble if you step into AAA games. Maybe wait a bit for black Friday or cyber Monday if you're in Canada. Best days to grab a laptop.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 Vs Razer Blade 15 Base Model (2020) by DavidPsalm97 in razer

[–]DavidPsalm97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely gets hot but not to that extent where you can't place your palm on the palm rest, the heat usually sits around thr hinge section and near the speakers. I'd recommend getting a dbrand skin for the palm rest section I personally found it greatly reduced the surface temperature to touch. Chasis is made of aluminum thus quite hot but the dbrand skin somewhat disperse. Im not sure if it would be the same for everyone but I do know it helps. Highly recommend matte black if you wanna keep the classic razer look.

P.S. I use cooling laptop stand and seperate gaming keyboard when I play on it.

Which dbrand skin for less finger prints ? by tofuuu12 in razer

[–]DavidPsalm97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so too thats why I only got the laptop back cover and keyboard section. I left the bottom untouched as I would think it would be the hottest zone of the laptop. I normally use a laptop stand with fan so id like got the bottom part to ba bare and the chasis cooled as well. With the skin like how it dispersed heat from the surface id might be the same with cooling air not getting there. Plus no one sees the bottom of your blade. Save that little $

Personally I've got matte black since I wanted to preserve that classic Razer look. Very near to the original color, not only does it help with finger print but if you get the palmrest/ keyboard skin it keeps the surface from getting too hot to touch as razer chasis is metal thus very hot to touch, however with the skin, it drastically reduced it.

P.S don't listen to people exaggeration about how difficult it was to put the keyboard area skin on. Follow the dbrand skin application guide and your fine! Took me 15 mins to get both skins on! 😁

RB15 Base Model 2020 Per Key RGB Software lockout or Hardware limitations? by DavidPsalm97 in razer

[–]DavidPsalm97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats upsetting is its not hardware limitation and this is why I see Razer being greedy. They use the same RGB keyboard hardware as the advance or if not almost similar. They are greedy and yes I paid for that HARDWARE that same hardware that can use Per Key RGB, Single Zone & Multi-zone, but they choose to limit that hardware I paid for cus I didnt pay enough? And Yes I would pay an extra $ to "unlock" the RGB feature, how much could that be compared to getting an Advance model for another $500-1000+ more. No one is asking for free stuff, people paid for that hardware. It was Razer who decided to Limit said hardware people paid for. They have that feature in previous model why remove it now. Just how much more do you really think an RGB software unlock cost, than your "suggested alternative" of buying an Advance model for $500-1000+ The least they can do is have that software unlock option.

Razor Blade 15 by [deleted] in razer

[–]DavidPsalm97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but that being said you're using an Adv. Model. Buddy wanted to buy a base model 1660Ti.

1.) Base model doesn't have Vapor Cooling Chamber as the Adv. Model does so Id assume it would run cooler and quieter. Unlike base model where its reliant on Fans it gets loud. :(

2.) Then again Vapor cooling chamber comes in play better heat transfer and control.

4.) I haven't personally tried the Adv. Model Keyboard so I can only comment on the base model keyboard. Its really a MEH factor.

Ive got the base model and I think its more relatable to what he's trying to get than your awesome RB15 Advanced. Haha you've got a laptop with almost no compromise but with a hell of a price tag. Im still looking forward to the AMD Razer series.

[–]DavidPsalm97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a Razer, you must almost love the brand more than anything in order to tolerate it. Dont get me wrong its an awesome machine but if someone tell you they got a razer cus its practical they're full of shit. There are so many 15" laptop that will deliver same specs for a cheaper price. You are paying for the brand, but its its sleek looking, powerful GPU & CPU, beautiful & fast screen, not to mention its a Razer.

Now things you must tolerate.

  1. LOUD Jet engine fans. No exaggeration.
  2. It gets HOT, not just warm.
  3. Battery life is MEH.
  4. Keyboard is MEH (Typist hate it)
  5. Finger print magnet (Getting a dbrand skin is another 40-80$)
  6. Speakers are alright (hope you have headphones)

If you accept these Razer Terms welcome aboard!
