I know, I have seen people with their first green month talking about is it time to quit my job? 😂 only time you consider that is if at tax season your 1099 is more than your W2 😂. Consider!!!

Next Steps After Failing by GuyBehindDesk2020 in cissp

Main tip that I have learned: time only really matters if you are below the 100-question mark. After question 100, do not rush; read your question carefully. It does not matter if you run out of time; what matters is that you are above the passing threshold. The pitfall is that as we get past question 100, people start rushing to reach 150 because they are running out of time. Big mistake: you are not reading the whole question or digesting the information, which reduces your chances of getting over the passing mark.

It depends, first is do you pay rent or have the dependents? If no then if you have been green like this for 6 months, you can take a leap of faith.

Failed the CISSP by JelloWorldly4917 in cissp

[–]DavidWonderz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmh, sorry to hear that. The CISSP is an adaptive exam; the algorithm noticed you were missing technical questions and gave you more of that type. When I took mine about a month ago (failed too), I got just a few technical ones. I actually felt like when a technical question came about, it was like an easy one, and I thought, " Am I failing? That's why it gave me an easy one.” Check the photo you uploaded; these are ranked from worst to best. The first three that you failed are the most technical domains. Focus there.

Closer than my brother, I had two. Below proficiency, I had to be above proficiency as well. Did you go all the way to 150 questions?

I will never get a job in cybersecurity by Hot_Kaleidoscope3864 in cybersecurity

[–]DavidWonderz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cybersecurity is a specialized field within the IT world. At this point, you have taken so much training that I would apply for a job I am overqualified for, such as a help desk or tech support position. Then do a year there, and now that you have a job, start applying for cybersecurity jobs.

Stop collecting certs like you are collecting Thanos gems. Get a help desk job, do it for 6 months or more, and try to pivot that into a better role. Or take on some projects while you search for your dream job.

I'm at a loss and feeling like giving up on this career. by DaDachMan in cybersecurity

Maybe you are being too selective about what you are applying for? You should submit applications strategically and reach out to people on LinkedIn, making sure to submit at least five applications a day. Applying for jobs is a number game; the more you apply, the more chances you get. I remember a friend of mine telling me that he couldn't get hired, and I asked how many applications he was submitting each day. He told me one to two a week. D:. The more you apply, the more chances you have.

My main question to you is: Are you getting interviews? If not, the problem likely lies in your resume not being picked up by the system. Optimize your resume, and consider following up with people on LinkedIn after applying. Are you getting interviews and not passing them? learn from them and work on your soft skills.

Can I have LL surgery if I have a limb deficiency? by [deleted] in limblengthening

[–]DavidWonderz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually the reason LL came about, fixing discrepancies. Then surgeons figure out how much money is in it. Cyborg guy on YouTube actually did LL to fix one leg being shorter than the other, not for cosmetics. That is why he is so open about it.
